With all the buzz about when the deliveries will happen........I think it is amazing that you can send an email or twitter around the world but still be in the dark on our S10's! Likely over a 1,000 of them headed this way.......if we could just get one worker (i.e. yamaha Japan, shipping) to join our forum and notify us!

I'm going to make a few calls..... ;D

Fairly ironic that a Japanese Motorcyle manufacturer can keep a secret better than most governments.

I think we may see a few before the end of July 8) No facts, just my gut feeling.

I'm thinking we should be able to get a google map of the exact location of the ship and keep a watch on it 24/7. Maybe some of youse guys with boats can meet it and give it an escort the last couple hundred miles or so ;).

i think we should make up a 50/50 raffle by guessing the date the first one arrives!!!!! 50% of money goes to a decided charity, the other half goes to the lucky guessing person.

I stopped at my local Yam dealer last week. They advised me that Yamaha Canada HQ will be starting to ship Canadian ordered S10 as of July 10th... so we lucky Canucks should see them arrive in the 3rd week of July. I am suspecting that US bikes will also start shipping around the same time as both Canadian and US models are pretty much identical.

That's a worst case scenario for me. Two days before leaving on a Nova Scotia ride. Not enough time to take it with me, probably not even enough to pick it up before the trip. But early enough that I know it's waiting for me and I can't do anything about it. Might just drive me nuts. I'd prefer early August, or early September, please.

Hi Dirt DAD. If you are coming to the Halifax Area let me know, steak and beer on me.

That's a very kind offer. My tentative plans don't take me all that close to Halifax. But I rarely stick to the "suggested" course I pre-enter into my GPS. You might just hear from me. Thanks.

A group of us are going to Nova Scotia the end of this month. I have been wanting to ride the Cabot Trail for a long time. Salty, will we have a lot of fog to deal with in the mornings? Our current plans will not take us to Halifax as there are too many places to go to and not enough time.

I did Nova Scotia and PEI in 08 this time of year and the weather was perfect, but the big bugs sure make a mess on the fairing and windshield. :D

Stay off of the Fluer deLIse trail. The road is terrible and ends abrubtly.

Here's a picture of Meat Cove - I turned 50K on my bmw there. it was a milestone.

Buckeye56, generally our best weather is from August through to November. July is not bad. With the advent of global warming we like other areas have had some changes in weather patterns and there has been an increase in wind and rain. I don't think fog will be much of an issue but if it occures it will soon disapate. Rain gear although may not be used, should be part of your pack.

Reccomend a stop and stay at the Glen Breton and The Glenora Inn & Distillery
&
Tulloch Inn, Lake Ainslie

Salty,

Thanks for the info! I have never been to that part of Canada and am looking forward to seeing the sights.
