If not West Marine, then certainly Happy Trail - they use those loops on their boxes as well.

Both are sold by Jesse

I think I agree with you that the loops would be better - not to mention cheaper. The Jesse versions are $15 for 4 - but I think you probably need 4 per pannier so there's $30. Might be possible to find equivalent hardware cheaper elsewhere. West Marine maybe?
What boxes are these, and where can they be bought?sambora67 said:http://www.twowheelsblog.com/galleria/yamaha-super-tenere-diapason-racing-by-tosco-01/
these looks great with the original OEM yamaha brackets
Divide Biga is using them on his round-the-world trip, they seem to be holding up pretty well, despite a fairly big crash in Bolivia.hyder4lunch said:Nice looking bags but the hinges look plastic...
I don't know that it's all in one place, but this seems as good a place as any to start a list. I'll go first...Monty said:Hi,
One of the things I am looking at is the overall width of the bike with various pannier options. Is there somewhere here where this has been pulled together? If so, apologies.

In particular I am interested in the 37/45 Trax width compared to the 33/46 Givi Trekker width if anyone can help me?

I like the idea of a comparative table with details. Since I'm detail orientated I'll fess that I'm happy with all the detail you've posted in the table. Just need to rework the font colours, since the text is bleeding out into the coloured lines... making it very difficult to read. Again I like the proof of concept of a one stop shop for pannier details. Additionally you could link to various threads that detail installs etc. for each pannier brand/model and list these in the "Additional Links" if the Entry ID. I appreciate it's more work, but worth it for overall completion and comparisons sake.Venture said:Hey guys, I like where you are going with listing the pannier info in here. I thought about it a bit, and I think a new database might be perfect for this.

Before we go putting more records in there, let me know if that's too much info, or not enough. And yes, I know the header row of the table is very hard to read, I need to fix that. Also, I know that the record I entered for the Micatech V2s has a picture of the Jesse bags on it. There is no pic yet of the Micatechs in the gallery, so I linked to a pic of the Jesse's just to prove the concept.
Let me know what you guys think.
