On my US bike all lighting is dead with the key off including the euro spec hazard switch.
Seems like it would be possible to wire one of the jumped wires to an un-switched power source to get flashers with the key off.

The Euro switch is very sano, but I sometimes use flashers with the bike unattended, like at a crash scene or when parked in a poor place to hop over a fence to take a quick picture during a rally. I don't want to leave the key in. Negative aspect to that ability is that the switch can be activated when you are not around, but that has not been a problem for me thus far. (I just wired a second flasher into the turn signals with a toggle switch)

Me also we must have all gotten it at the same time. I'm excited!
Tohru must be scratching his head wondering why the sudden rush on LH Cluster switches. ::025::

My own order was just confirmed! ::012::

Got mine from Tohru in Japan today. No problems, and in Yamaha factory packaging with Yamaha parts number tag on the bag, etc.

Great transaction and smooth as silk, with everything as promised. Highly recommended! ::008:: ::008:: ::008::

Mine has shipped also. So far, it's been very expeditious. Thanks to all who've previously posted. I find the flash to pass very helpful when approaching an intersection where a crossing driver doesn't seem to be aware of my presence. I have a programmable tail light flashing unit, but the hazard warning has it's own obvious advantages. The number of drivers who are texting, using cell phones, reading novels, etc. is truly bind boggling. Any tool that helps conspicuity helps our survival.

Neat that it is found, but I don't know that I care $120 worth to have flash to pass and 4-ways. If I really wanted 4-ways, why not just put a standard toggle on the dash for a few bucks?

I look at it as though I'm putting it back the way it should've been shipped in the first place. A toggle switch just wouldn't cut it for me.
II bought it more for the 4-way than the flash to pass, so I guess I don't mind spending a little to do it right. YMMV

Certainly a valid viewpoint. I do wish they had shipped the US bikes with the same switchgear the rest of the world got. OTOH, I like the toggle switch method because it gives me flashers when the key is off, which is something the oem switch does not do. Though I suspect you could make that work by running the one wire jumped to unswitched 12v instead.

Got the switch mounted up. everything works great!
Did not touch the tank. If you can get your hand in there and open up zip ties, its comes right out between the tank and the plastic firewall. I did swear a bit running the horn wires through the frame through that inside zip tie by feel ::010::
Thanks to whomever brought up this mod! ::003::

It's not just a bike, okay

Ok I have a rather stupid question ::)

How can I check if my bike is EU or not? My dealer says it is but I don't have the hazard or the f2p switch :'(

Ordered mine this week, $131 and change to Minnesota. Not sure when it will get here, it does not matter, I have a couple months of slack time yet.

I intend to tie a cord to my horn wires and pull it through when I remove the old, transfer it over and pull in the new. Just sayin.
