Another update....

Cash back request submiited online 9/19/2011.

I called Yamaha today to see what my status was...800-962-7926. Ask to speak to a customer PRODUCT SPECIALIST....you will get either David or Ericka.

They said I should have the check mid December...if not, call them back.

My Product Specialist was Rich. I faxed copies of my receipts and got my check Today, about 2 weeks later. Close to a 5 month wait. At least the check is finally here. ::012::

What did you have to provide to Yamaha to get the $200?

One of the owners found a coupon though I cannot complete it and submit it... the purchase name on the Super Tenere is one of the dealership employees and will be for a total of six months.

If the bike is listed under someone else's name with Yamaha you could be out of luck. As for the proof of submission, they only need the number on the card. A fax of your receipt is even better.

Contacted the dealership and discovered they filed for the $200 Discount but they have not heard from Yamaha. They offered me $200 cash or $200 store credit. Very nice of them to do so.

I'm still waiting from mid Sept. submission. I checked with Yamaha last week and well, my check wasnt issued. There were some issues as they said they had no record of my submission, but then later found "it" after I gave them all my information and where I obtained the coupon from. I was told that it would be here by mid January. Such is all documented by Yamaha supposedly by my VIN so we shall see.

so my dealer never mentioned anything of this. I am going to call them tomorrow. If I call yamaha and give them my VIN as well as the date purchased and some paper work will they honor it ya think?

No.

This was not a dealer program.

You don't. The coupons were provided at some various events (Moto GP, test ride events, etc) around the country in a random manner. Some got them, some didn't.

When I started this thread I thought the vouchers were available to everyone from their dealer - when I found out they were only handed out in limited quantities at certain events, I changed the title - hence the "sorry my mistake!" addendum. I didn't want people getting excited about something they might not get :D

I received my rebate on January 26th and my application for it was completed on September 12, 2011 (I think). I called the Yamaha Customer service department after New Years and politely stated that mine had never arrived. I had to re-submit (had copies of everything) the coupon code and my VIN (plus, I told them that I bought a leftover slightly used Stratoliner in September 2011) and was told my rebate would be approved and sent after January 24th, 2012. It did and I like the S10 even more than before! ::015::

I recieved my $200 cash back rebate 1/27/2012 after submitting it 9/19/2011. I had repeatedly called Yamaha customer service after the intial 8 weeks went by and no rebate check. If you have not got you check after 8 weeks, get on their case.
