For sure.. Its always important to read the pressure marked on the side of any tire. And almost equally important is to ride at a tire pressure that suits the riders situation and safety. Always fallow recommended tire pressures.

In my case I ride my Tenere pretty darn hard. I have 10,200 miles on my first set of K60's. Im looking to ride the rear another 2K miles before I replace the rear. My K60 front has another 10K miles in it, barring any type of major puncture and unforeseen issues. On my personal bike I felt the most comfortable with my tire pressures set at 38F and 40R. 10,000 miles ago I spoke with Heidenau and was cleared by the factory to run that pressure as safe. Ive kept my tires at that pressure for the last year. For my riding style, on and off road they work great. This is not to say that this pressure or other pressures will suit every rider for all situations, we are all different.

As I speak with many people a day, they ask what my opinion & experience is on many things including tires. Of course when I start speaking this is, 'IMOP'. I can also say that, good / bad / indifferent, Ive ridden this (totally loaded) 1000 Lbs bike to speeds of 90 mph off road many times. Rocks, rollers, undulating surfaces, and my rims are straight as an arrow. No dings, bends, wobble.. I contribute most of that from running the 'stiff side wall' K60 at a higher pressure while off road.. Everyone has different expectations of tire performance for there own personal riding experience and ability. All tires will never work perfect for every rider in all situations. Like all tires, its a give & take on what your expectations are and your riding needs.
For any tire, that a rider might experience, never ride over your ability or the ability of the motorcycle. Have fun be safe !

I am sort of doing the same thing. 40R and 38F and have 600 or so miles on gravel road this summer and no issues what so ever. Some is luck of course with the rocks, but for the wear, mine are doing well will 6000 on them now and are probably only half worn. Just me on bike I am topping 300, then add gear and we are close to 400 for a trip if not more.
