I just purchased a new set myself.
Got them (150/70/17 + 110/90/19) from Steve at www.adventuremoto.com.au

I had a Heidi 140 rear and 100 front on for the last 7500kms so they have served me well.

Greg.

Jeff, are you going to pull your OEM tires and replace them immediately?

Yep, i think so. I may not have time available to do it later. I will be riding!!!! I know some of my day trips right off the bat will be into the mountains on the forest service roads, as well as daily commuting to and from work 22 miles each way. I may sell the OEM tires right away. I may still go to the Shinko E705 Radial after the K60 Scouts, but we will see!!!!

I'm sure they are good - but not sure if they are that good (or the OEM that bad) to swap out right away. ;)

I would put my money on it that we here in the states are going to get the Bridgestones. They are good for street, but really really squirley on gravel, even with pressures lowered. The Skinko's were good aired down to 28-30 on gravel, then back to 36 for the street. Part of it for me is a more agressive look to a tire. Everyone is different and has different tastes for this beast we have coming. We will all enjoy it.

I will have almost 2 weeks in Sept, when I am on vacation and will be good time to have the painter painting, the graphics guy installing decals, and me relaxing on either a boat (Alaska Cruise) or Sandy Beach in Hawaii 6 days later!

Stocks are great for tarmac... Not so great for anything other...................... these K60's are nice because they are good tarmac, good dirt / gravel, and pretty good in the uuie-gooie... BEST PART * they should last almost along as the stock slicks... So with these K60's you put on one pair, and go ride the bike anywhere, like the bike was intended ! ;D Unless you riding slick rock in Moab.. :D

Yes, I'm sure they are good and will make sense for some to change out right away - but with my riding style, I'm sure the OEM's will work out initially. Later, these will be on my short list of possible tires for the bike.

I have some playing in the snow, but can't find them now. Here's one up on the Old Fall River Road last summer. This is probably as "dirty" as I will ever get my bike!! :D

I got my set that are going on my super scooter today.. WOW, these things look AWESOME !!! If they work in the dirt half way good, I cant imagine ever going to another tire... There are so many reports of guys getting 8-10 K miles on these... Cant wait to get these installed and go ride, and try them on some trails....... !!! :p :p ;D ;D
