Well this spring and summer has been stress loaded a shit show. I lost three out of my six rider coaches in Fargo this spring and early summer and picked up many extra Basic Rider Courses from a neighboring city that lost their Site administrator and range lease. With the interviewing & training new rider coaches candidates, picking up extra BRCs from the neighboring city, and working seven days a week filling in for three of my lost rider coaches, I've failed to have the time, drive, and energy to finish up the organization of this event letting you all down. I appoligize to everyone but I'm guessing we'll still make the best of everything, get a little riding in and tip a few cold ones back meeting up with some great new and old friends.
The good news is that at least three of my local Black Hills riding buddies have stepped up and will be on hand to lead some rides. They are great guides and good people that lead local rides twice a year at our Dakota Dual Sport Riders rallies. They sound like they have three different plans with varying difficulty but will adapt to suit the riders prefferences. I'm going to owe them big time for saving my ass.
I just finished replacing a bald, flat front tire on my dirty, neglected Tenere that was suffering from a failed sticky string and mushroom plug patch attempt. I'll be loaded up soon and headed out ASAP. I should be rolling in late this afternoon or early evening. I look forward to meeting up with you all. I'll have my tail between my legs in humiliation but have a big smile on my face getting away for a few days and finally attending my first Tenere rally. See you all tonight!
