I will be there to lead rides as well. Will have my T7 and well as my S10. Looking to do a mix of asphalt, gravel and two track. This may be an good time for those that do little or no "offroading" to get your feet wet while riding with more experienced offroaders . We can make plans for those that have no skid plate wanting to ride off pavement. The S10 oil pan is not well protected from the errant bump on a rock. My ideas would be for more moderate skill level but can alter the plan accordingly. I will be riding 2 up on Saturday so that may be a good day to catch me being less technical.

If you ride with me you just may get a bit of a history lesson and/or visit a cemetery or two. I will be using a Sena 50s. if you have a compatible com unit, that can make life easier, or more annoying depending on your point of reference.

I will probably be there Thursday afternoon or Friday morning early.

One thing to remember. The asphalt roads are amazing in the area with one exception... they are very busy this time of year. People move very slow and will even stop dead in the road in front of you, sometimes to take a photo or for seemingly no reason at all. Passing zones can be few and far between at times and when you do there, the chance that someone coming the other way is inevitable. Be patient, be courteous and please be very aware. There are a few nice stretches of asphalt that gets less traffic and can sometimes have some fun on those roads. Ask a local to point you in the direction of less traveled black top.

So do you have some tracks or routes you can post up?

I'm not much of track guy, I have some in my device but haven't spent much time editing and posting. Mostly they are in my head. Or I make up the route as I go to fit the group. The group I ride with mostly doesn't get that formal or technical. Sorry.

If you guys are staying here the night before we hit the road, let me know.
We have all the blueberries you could eat and my wife is going to make breakfast casserole and cinnamon rolls we could even have a cookout that night. We have sweetcorn green beans carrots and peppers in the garden.
Here is a taste to wet your apatite. taken a few minutes ago.

If it’s OK, I’m making a small ‘cross country’ detour over to your house. Yum ! WOW

YESSIR! Count me in!! That's a terrific invitation that can't be missed! Good cookin' PLUS homegrown blueberries. We've got a couple of bushes, but we have to fight our German Shepherds for the berries. They love 'em as much as we do. They eat 'em right off the bush.

Well....can I still attend the rally if I’m riding a DR650? Had a close encounter today with a deer today. Worst possible location, on a left hand corner apex. Avoided the deer, and the metal marker post and the culvert marker and the culvert, rode the ditch for at least 60 - 70 yards before the front end washed out. Bike is trashed and I’m sore as can be, but the good Lord was looking out for me.

Trying to figure out the Cardo’s.
Make sure you update the firmware. I was having problems with the voice commands until I saw a tip on one of the many related Youtube videos, speak in a complete sentence without a pause. "Hey Cardo (no pause) call intercom" It made a big difference.
