Did Greenwall take the last one? If so, I may try the simple straight approach. It is a good design, anyone with a 3D printer try making one?
There are two sets left.

Yes, a simple piece of 1/8 x 1/2 would work fine if I wanted my S10 to look like a KLR.
Wow, you hit the nail right on the head.

I have people all the time telling me they like my KLR, until I tell them its just because of a piece of alum there! ::)

DIBs on a pair if they are still available. A little confusion whether Greenwall got the last set.

I am sending him the money this morning. I think there is a pair left after mine, but I could be completely wrong.
holligl & greenwall get the last of them, I'll ship them today.

Thanks all! Enjoy.

I used the same concept, but slightly adapted, for my Gen 1 S10 with mounted Madstad windshield bracket. The Madstad bracket vibrated somewhat over uneven ground. The little vibration didn't really bother me, but I was concerned about the L shaped plastic brackets that hold the windshield.

The support runs from the 2 holes of the wind deflectors (yes I used the two holes for better anchorage onto the plastic fairing) to the bolts that hold the accessories mounting bar of the Madstad bracket. The shape is very similar to the one shown in this thread; the only difference being a hole at the end, instead of the slot.

If you are interested in creating more I would buy one for $25.00. I am sure others on here would do the same. Let us know if you plan on making more, I know I WOULD APPRECIATE it.

Great Job,
Chris

If these become available again, I'd be interested in a set. If it means a higher price to make it happen, so be it.

Thanks for taking the time to develop this and make it available to the community.

Not to be criticizing the design O:) but a piece of 1/8" x 1/2" is all that is needed to just one of the holes.
The triangulation of support it gives is all that's needed to strengthen the front windshield assy from bouncing around.
My bike is 2012 but the later ones are not that different.

IMHO! ::014::

I will praise you for getting people to give you money for your design though! I'm all for the Free Enterprise sys! ::008::
Yeah, and I could have cut a piece of scrap wood and screwed it to the bike and it would have accomplished the same thing. So what?

I've fabricated a lot of stuff for my motorcycles, as some of you on here probably already know. Some may even say I'm pretty good at it. And I'll say that Propsoto's design is a simple, elegant solution to the vibration problem that satisfies three major criteria; it looks good, it functions well, and it's reasonably priced. I was very impressed with the manner in which it attaches to the windshield mount and still allows the windshield to be adjusted. Propsoto "got" me to give him my money because I'm a designer and I can appreciate a really good design when I see it. He was even good enough to offer the templates for the design so others could make one themselves, but I appreciated his innovation enough that I wanted to buy his product rather than make it myself.

I would like to get a pair also. Happy to pay the real cost.
Sorry, they have all been sold. However, everything you need to make a set is in the first page of this thread. If you need the cad file (.sldprt) I am unable to post it here, but would be happy to email it to you.

Thank you @Propsoto

By the way, I used the cad file (sent it my dad and he produced a pair of these) then bolts, washers, nuts and it holds as never before. I did not paint them.

Hey there,

If anyone has the air deflectors set up with these could you kindly share the bolts, nuts, washers, that you used? Do I need to buy longer bolts than the ones Propsoto provided or will they be on enough? I won't be getting my bike until april and will be doing a fly and ride back. I would like to set this up on the bike before the 2000 mile ride home. This way I can buy the hardware and send it out with no hassles..

I would really appreciate the info, Like I said, I don't have the bike to try and tinker around.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

I feel much better after a few hours sleep.

Removed the 10 mm hex head bolt, 10 mm nyloc nut, and both 10 mm flat washers. All items are stainless steel. I did not remove the grommet. As I explained late last night via the PM... ride to the hardware store and find one that works/fits. The bolt is 3/4" or 19 mm long. Wish I would have kept better notes on this project. Hope this helps.

Tim
