Can the OEM air turbulence winglets still be fitted?

I have similar braces fitted to mine, the only difference is the bottom part mounts to the front winglet hole, while these have two mounting points... I have no problems fitting the winglets , and this solution looks better than mine so I'd say they would be fine ::001::

Hey guys, I received the brackets today. (See attached pics)
If you'd like a pair, just send $20 (cash or check) & your address to:

I'll include the grommets as well. But you'll need to supply you're own hardware and paint them.

Hope you all like them.

These look nice. Where does the upper (forked) end go? It's not real clear to me in the pics. I do some off-road riding and the windshield shakes like crazy. I think these would help. Do you take paypal? No fees for sending to "friends and family".

I'll send you $22 if you use paypal just so I don't have to find an envelope and write on it and then buy a stamp.

The attached pics should help. You simply spin the windscreen screws out as far as the go, slide the bracket down the gap in the fairing and the fork slides up the bottom of the windscreen bracket. I used rubber grommets in the holes in the plastic fairing (wing let mounting holes) to add some flexibility to the system so the plastic wouldn't crack. My True Value Hardware had some SS 1/4-20 button heads and nylock nuts. its really nice being able to see my GPS and radar detector.

Sorry, I'm not set up in PayPal.

Tom

Ok, looked at my bike. It looks like they go directly behind the piece (called the "slide plate holder" in the owners manual) you pull out on for adjustment after loosening the windscreen screws. This piece pushes back in, locking the windscreen in position and the screws are retightened. So, the bracket prevents the "slide plate holder" from going in all the way, correct? Probably doesn't matter as long as the windscreen locks in enough.

BTW, paypal is easy and you get payment immediately. Unless you don't care for it. I understand. I have an account but, don't use it much. I keep it pretty much for convenience.

Sounds like you've got it. Windscreen still locks in place and maintains its adjustability.

Has anyone thought of engineering some simple winglets that would attach to brackets like these? Seems a very slick simple wind deflector could really be a great enhancement. I may give it a ago this summer to make some. Just wondered if anyone cracked that design yet?

Yes, they are NOT painted and do not include mounting hardware (2) 1/4-20 button head cap screws, but do include the rubber grommets.

Just send cash or check for $20 for 2 brackets shipped in the US to:
