It has at this point.
We have taken it on ferry to the island before and has alway qualified as bike. BUT, we also have been told when prebooking it does not.
So we no longer prebook our boarding pass and just show up. Bike do get priority loading and the CanAm has always gone in as a bike.
Hope that answer your question.
A new take on "Don't ask, don't tell" although that was a USA thing so it may not make sense to you.

After spending a couple days in Dawson being a tourist we got back on the bikes and rode up the Top of the world highway to the border.
We went across the border into Alaska and turned around and went back into Canada. Hahaha
They were going to be closing and we were too late to go much further, we would had to wait till next morning on side of the road lol.

Here is an interesting observation concerning bikes.
Too my surprise and I would had never thought that it seems the S10 is not so illusive. In this northern trip I have seen more S10 than KTM, Vstrom and Tigers. About the only bike that was more visible was the GS and KLR a close second.
It seem KTM riders prefer riding in packs of their own while I saw mix brands with most others.
I say that because it was what I observed.
As for the S10, I saw atleast half a dozen riding solo while atleast 8-10 riding in with another or small pack.
So, does this mean the S10 is just being over shadowed by YouTube hero’s for subscribers and sales of certain bikes are great for that weekend worrier. While the hardcore adventurer still holds true to the S10. Interesting, but just what I have observed in the Alaska Yukon adventure.

It’s been pretty rare for me to see other Tenere’s anywhere . But I did see and talk to one yesterday while out riding my Goldwing, seemed like a very interesting rider, had his wife along, I told them about this forum and I think they might be joining , they were riding a very nicely set up 2012 Tenere.

I was expecting to see maybe one or two other S10 and mostly BMW and KTM’s but that was not the case.
Agree the KLR would not be my choice to do this on.

Haha, maybe but the GS was the majority of bikes seen.
Another observation was the majority of plates were of the USA side, as far as New York State, New Mexico and Florida.
It seems like it’s a popular ride with Americans.
