here it is, this machine is joining me on this adventure.
We had to modify the trip as it’s limitations off road but the main objective remains the same.
It will be interesting.
BTW, it’s called a Ryker by CanAm, powered by a 900, 3 cylinder engine, auto trans and shaft drive.

I think only the Ryker is a shaftie, the Spyders are still belt driven.

You should see some of the videos. People doing about 25mph and eating it. Not for me either.

Todays ride, about 540kms including a 1 1/2hr ferry ride.

So, inquiring minds want to know? Does that CanAm qualify as a motorcycle on the ferry?

It has at this point.
We have taken it on ferry to the island before and has alway qualified as bike. BUT, we also have been told when prebooking it does not.
So we no longer prebook our boarding pass and just show up. Bike do get priority loading and the CanAm has always gone in as a bike.

I know that Florida doesn't require a motorcycle license for them. Or at least didn't. Friend of mine and his son took a trip down the Keys on some rentals.

Here in BC a motorcycle licence is required to ride them. I suspect the rest of Canada is the same but don’t know for sure.

We are back, day4.
Today it is a short 265kms ride to the northern part of the island. Port Hardy, tomorrow we will be getting on a boat again.
