Well day 6, I think.
Today will take us 465 kms.
Being that I have to flip the map I posted two pics.

We do have a route B planned but the weather may not allow us to take that route.
We will know better once at the junction which way we go.

Made it to our destination, Stewart BC.
We did change our route to plan B, the weather held up for it.
Black was intended route and orange is what we did.

The orange route is called the Nisga’a highway #113.
The reason we decided to go that route instead of the traditional route is because the road goes through a lava field from a volcano that spewed in the 1700 killing 2,000 of the local native inhabitants. This area is sacred and it’s a privilege to be able to see the field. Great respect has to be shown when visiting.

Today we entered Alaska just to enter Canada to view the largest drivable glacier in the world and the 9th largest glacier in North America.
Hyder Alaska. You can enter the US, no border crossing but you better have your papers too return to Canada, LOL.

Salmon glacier, formed around 6,000yrs ago it’s now only 37kms long.

We came across this old mining tunnel, back in the early days there was gold mining operations here.
You’re not allowed to enter and no gate LOL.
