Appreciate the Manufacturer and Distributor support on this forum. Not every product offers this.

Yes, I already sold my 2013 and I offered to include it with the purchase free of charge, but they thought it would be overkill for their purposes and they didn't want to ship it to their home. It is probably overkill for my purposes as I don't do much in the way of off road other than dirt roads, but I like the way your skid plate protects the sides of the engine as well as the underside.
Hi Nick,

I have your answer from the factory.

Unfortunately, there is no way to transform an ACD Racing Parts '10 to '13 Super tenere Skid plate to a '14 Super tenere Skid plate since holes position for screws and and bolts is a bit different so is the way angles are shapes.

Unless we open a used skid plate section on our http://www.acdracing.us web site, I won't be able to help.

Thanks for checking into it for me, I will most likely purchase a 2014 skid plate in the near future from you and try to sell my 2013 skid plate locally, shouldn't be too hard, Super Tenere's are reasonably popular here.

What is the cost of a 2014 skid plate shipped to zipcode 99687 (Wasilla, Alaska)? Thanks!

Hi Nick,

We offer free shipping for continental U.S.. Sending the skid plate to Alaska would result in an additional 100 USD shipping fee.

That is why I was hoping it was just an updated bracket...
You could ride your brand new 2014 Super Tenere to our offices in Chicago! If you do so, we invite you a lunch and a some beers!

Seriously, it results very expensive to ship to AK or HI and I admit it is rather unfair, being the same country. May be you have some family visiting you for Christmass we could ship to.

Is your discount code still good? I tried to order a raw skid plate for a 2014 and it wouldn't take the code.

Thanks!

My skid plate after the impact...
Total loss or??

OMG!

I think the ACD Racing Parts Skid plate fulfilled with its function avoiding more serious damages to your Super Tenere.

What did you do to get that result? I think it's going to be difficult to repair the Skid plate as it received a lot of damage during the impact.

There was a report of this somewhere. Anyways, it was a fall, with some 30ft flight before the landing. I hit a solid stone hidden in the grass on the right side of the two track trail. Then came the flight, and the obvious landing on the left side.
I kind of landed on my buddy's bike who was half of the length behind me in the left track. I found the bike in third gear, which kind lf confirms the impact at approx. 70/80 km/h.
I took the plate off and found out it had a new baby bath shape. :D
This plate took a lot of beatings, but i suppose that this hit was one too much. I gave it to a friend of a friend to give a try. He's pretty busy guy, and i'm i no rush myself, cause i have a 2nd oem one for the time being.
I would like to have another one in raw aluminum, but it will have to wait, otherwise my wife will kill me.
As for the exhaust pipes, i fix them so the bike can breathe, but I'm aiming the Arrow ones.

Hi!

Ouch! Just reading it it hurts!

Tell us what your friend was able to do. If you need the rear bracket for the skid plate, we can provide it as spare part as it looks pretty twisted on pictures. And if you order a whole new skid plate, I swear we won't tell your wife!!

Cheers

Good to hear you can sell the bracket. I think there's no way to fix it. It's completely out of shape. We'll see. I'll let you know how it went.

I received my ACD plate for my 14 ES. One note when installing this plate on a 14 is that with the larger cat convertor, you cannot slide out the centerstand bolt on the left side of the bike without loosening the exhaust system enough to clear. I removed the muffler and the bolt near the centerstand that holds the header and then loosened all the header bolts so that I could get enough movement to remove the bolt.
I am taking a break for the evening and will see if I can get some assistance tomorrow for what appears to be the most difficult part of the job, a part that was already done when they shot the video. I got the centerstand insert installed on the non spring side of the stand, but for the life of me, I can't get the one started on the side of the stand that has the springs. I'll see if I can get another pair of hands to try to wiggle the stand a bit while I pry it back and see if we can get that insert installed.

I am going to use studs instead of the engine mount bolts in front, and got very fast service from the vendor that BWC mentioned, Bel Metric. Thanks for that, Bernie.

Here is the tight fit on a 14.
