Hi Martin,

You should not have any problem with curbs, the plate is 4mm thick and has a foam inside to give extra protection to the motor. Except if you bash at high speed, ACD Racing Parts Super Ténéré Skid Plate will perfectly absorb that kind of shocks.

Last Ti anodized plate is gone now! 8)
Was gonna go for the raw aluminum, but thought the ti might be less shiny on the mat grey. We'll see I guess!
I don't even have the darn bike yet and already have the skid plate, EB PC3, madstad, racks, panniers, oxford grips and TKC 80s....

If anyone is on the fence with this, you won't be sorry. I've put on a few skid plates on the Tenere and this one by far is the easiest to install and even easier to remove (about 3 mins) to change the oil and filter. It will take about 45 mins to install the first time, but again, remove and install after that is extremely simple and fast. I'm sold on this plate.

Just got my ACD skid plate. Holy crap who spent the time to pack that thing?! Took me 1/2 hour just to get it unwrapped lol. Now off to powdercoater this afternoon.

Took mine out of it's straight jacket yesterday. Intense but happy to see it packed so well.
