Hello Everyone, it's The Patman here.

A formal ::004:: is now in order now that you're out in the light of day! ;D Glad you're here with us Pat. Nice looking ride you got there. The 685 kit I got off of you was still running strong in the KLR the day I sold it.

    Prospective Buyer

::004:: zofo! I to had my eye on the ST early on and joined this forum in 2010 but I got sidetracked with a used 05 GS for 4 years or so. I always had a KLR 650 in the garage for the last 10 years but got rid of them both when I bought the ST. The longer I owned the GS the more I began to...

    Question about Yamaha's Top Case

Yes, it should stay with the bike. This video on the 12 shows how the rear carrier converts to different positions. You should also have the top carrier plate to go along with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEqJsfoodfs

Airscrew Adjustment to fix off-idle stumble and Throttle Body Sync - w/ pigtails

From a post on the 1st page I used the all things being equal method and backed out both adjustment screws 3/4 of a turn. That took care of the low speed/idle surging that has seemed to appear here recently. I do have a home made U tube manometer but I couldn't find anything to pass for a tee...

    OEM Left Bag Sag

It was the top brackets on mine that were reversed. I found the instructions somewhere on line and used this pic as a guide for proper installation.

    New Owner- a few questions...

"Attached my battery tender cable, does this look like a good setup? (sorry, a little hard to follow the cable)" Badnews, I used the same setup and location on mine as you have done. Then I routed my fused GPS wires to plug into the tender plug when on the road.

    OEM Left Bag Sag

It was a chore to take off and put on the bags until I discovered what had happened. When I swapped the bag rails the lower support bracket would not even touch the bag on the left side. I loosened the nuts and re-positioned the brackets, now all is well. Lots of clearance now where as before...

    OEM Left Bag Sag

Mine was the same as craigd's. Brackets installed on the wrong side. Easy fix.

    OEM Left Bag Sag

My left OEM bag was sagging in the front and too close to the muffler on the front lower edge. I found the problem and the solution but it might not be the same as yours. Look at the lower front corner by the red latch. Does yours look like this?
