Hey Guys (and Gals).
It's The Patman here.
I've been on here since May I guess, and been doing an admirable (for me) job of keepin' my fingers off the keyboard..."lurking" I think is what it's called.
But...with a single post to check out some preowned panniers, I outed myself and was immediately discovered (thanks guys).

So I figure the polite thing to do (now that I am discovered) is to introduce and say "Hi".

I've ridden with some of you, in Moab maybe, or at Fall Colors, maybe worked on some of your bikes at tech days. Some may know me as an admin at the old KLRWorld, TBM Magazine or maybe from ADVrider.

I told someone today that I guess the Super ten is the natural progression somewhere after the KLR.

I sold the Patman Racing KLR705 to a guy who made me a really good offer on it, and drove from out of state to get it.

I picked up a V-Strom 1000, but being the "dirty" ol man that I am, I soon found the Strom wasn't me.

I used a GSA to cover a race or two for the magazine, but for some reason, as nice as they are, it just wasn't me.

So in looking for "me" I came across the white and red Super that they sold in 2013. Nice lookin' scooter. After looking a bit, I found a barely used example down in Austin and Adam and I flew down to get it. Adam flew the plane back here in two hours, and I spent two days riding back.

Finally! I think this one's me! But you know me...we'll need to flatten this seat, adjust the windscreen, a little protection, gotta balance out this suspension...and ...hmmm...maybe, just maybe, a 1310cc kit...eh? Naw, just kiddin' on that one.

Anyway, a big shout out to all my old friends ( I don't mean "old" ...like aged, I mean familiar!).

So...let me see if I can make a picture appear...then ...back to "lurking"!

I remember you from KLR world. I even bought your Wolfman duffel, and just too the thing to do the COBDR at the beginning of sept!

You're right, the tenere is a very nice progression from the KLR.

A formal ::004:: is now in order now that you're out in the light of day! ;D

Glad you're here with us Pat.

Nice looking ride you got there.

The 685 kit I got off of you was still running strong in the KLR the day I sold it.

Hi there Patman.

Back when I bought my KLR 11 years ago, I used a couple of pictures of your bike as my screen saver at work. I fact, they are still in rotation.

Enjoy the ride!

Hey everyone. Thanks for the welcome.

Ya know, I grew up in Daytona, and ya can't grow up in Daytona without a healthy appreciation for cars, bikes, and ...well...the beach of course (ie Bikinis).

I've always thought I was equal parts bike guy, and car guy, but I bought a Porsche recently and joined their club. And that's when I found out...found out that I'm 80% bike and 20% car.

Never felt like family in the high-brow Porsche club. My family rides on two wheels.

Again, thanks for the welcome.

Hope to hear more from you, Patman. With your background you must have a ton of stories and knowledge.

Good Luck
