Saturday I rode with GCDSR group on their annual Delta Ride. Probably 20+ rider enjoying the the Sacramento Delta levee's and backroads. There were four Super Tenere's... one with 20 miles on the ODO and a nail in the front tire. The nail suffered through 120+ miles and a very fast pace... faster than me. The weather could not have been better as well as seeing previous riding friends and new.
Started getting fault error code warnings and dropped out after it became unpredictable. Getting ready to check the codes. Missed a good day of riding today. Weather looks clear through Wednesday, WooHoo!!!
BTW... two of the fastest bikes on these roads were Gen1 KLR's with fearless riders. We rode the roads, levees and ferry, around Freeport, Clarksburg, Rio Vista, Brannan Island, Tyler Island, Twitchell Island, Birds Landing, Montezuma, Isleton, Ryde, Walnut Grove, Hood, Courtland,... all the roads are great but the roads of the Rio Vista Wind Mills are beautiful fast and challenging... especially when you are trying to keep contact with KLR's Triumph's Ducati 1198 BMW's and three Super Tenere's.
