Yesterday the girlfriend and I took her to Tehachapi, CA for breakfast. Then we went across the Mojave and into San Bernadino from the north. After a couple hours at Chaparral Motorsports (the biggest moto store in the world) we had dinner in Pasadena. The ride back over the Grapevine to Bakersfield was chilly and I heard about it when we got home. Apparently Mexican ladies are sensitive to cold. Haha. Great day anyways, and the longest she's ever been on the back. I love this bike.

Rode to my first pistol match of the year and pulled the trailer. First semi offroad test of the trailer.

Saturday I rode with GCDSR group on their annual Delta Ride. Probably 20+ rider enjoying the the Sacramento Delta levee's and backroads. There were four Super Tenere's... one with 20 miles on the ODO and a nail in the front tire. The nail suffered through 120+ miles and a very fast pace... faster than me. The weather could not have been better as well as seeing previous riding friends and new.

Started getting fault error code warnings and dropped out after it became unpredictable. Getting ready to check the codes. Missed a good day of riding today. Weather looks clear through Wednesday, WooHoo!!!

BTW... two of the fastest bikes on these roads were Gen1 KLR's with fearless riders. We rode the roads, levees and ferry, around Freeport, Clarksburg, Rio Vista, Brannan Island, Tyler Island, Twitchell Island, Birds Landing, Montezuma, Isleton, Ryde, Walnut Grove, Hood, Courtland,... all the roads are great but the roads of the Rio Vista Wind Mills are beautiful fast and challenging... especially when you are trying to keep contact with KLR's Triumph's Ducati 1198 BMW's and three Super Tenere's.

That was a great ride Tim, we were glad we could join the group and gotta chance to ride with you and the KLR guys pushing it. By the end of the day those KLRs were definitely dripping oil all over after being pushed 10/10ths all day. The four robust Super Tenere's we had did not even flinch when pressed 7/10ths to keep up. All three of us really enjoyed it and Kevin instantly acclimated to his new S10. He loves the bike, and took the wifey out again today on a 2-up lunch ride today, she likes it too. All good. We all want to to go back and do that same ride west of Berryessa, looking forward to ratcheting it back a bit and just doing some scenic riding. It was great riding with you. We will probably do a few weekend dirt rides again on the 500s and will be back at it again to do another S10 group ride with you. Also, we'll need to do that April 150 GCDSR ride if you still have your KLR...

Did a 1080 mi ride with a friend to earn their Saddle Sore Ironbutt plate. Went across MA and NY west then east on a TOUROFHONOR.com memorial ride. Challenging winds and temps in the low to mid 40f all day.

Didn't do anything fancy. I just rode around northern Virginia. I went out some twisty roads for a bit, played in traffic on the Beltway, went by the airport (national), and just had myself a good time trying to set up my madstad for highway use.

Road from Airdrie, Alberta to Radium Hot Springs, BC via Golden, BC for a nice relaxed ride. Had an Oh Crap! moment riding through a heavily forested area close to the shoulder and saw a herd of deer on the right side of us. The deer thankfully stood still. The shade from the trees made them impossible to see until we were right on top of them. Otherwise a beautiful warm ride for this time of year. Also had a great gesture by an auto driver in a BMW. He got between my friend and I as we were passing a slow moving truck. After the pass he slowed down waving me on so I could catch up with my buddy. He gave a wave and a big thumbs up as I went by and again as he passed us going into the town of Golden, BC. Simple gesture but really impressed me.

What is this? Looks like a light snow on sand.
Great Salt Plains State Park...
Taken from the website:

Great Salt Plains State Park is one of Oklahoma's most unique state parks. The barren landscape of the Great Salt Plains is comprised of salt left over from an ocean that covered Oklahoma in prehistoric times, and the saltwater lake in the park, Great Salt Plains Lake, is about half as salty as the ocean.

Well I started the running in procedure with a 150 miles spin around mid Wales, tried to keep it to the back lanes so I could fluctuate the revs a bit, it's true what people say, the more you ride this bike the more you like it ;D
