Today for the first time I went for a ride with another Tenere, Laimy and his friend on a Triumph 800. Was very nice of him (thanks again) to let me try the bike with Heidenau k60s on paved road before I install a set I have in my garage. I like the tires, they're not too bad, a bit of humming noise from the front and some vibes more noticeable at low speeds. it's a compromise.

Was also good to try a different Tenere to know if what I hear and feel on mine is the same on his.

I think Laimy was excited to see what my Tenere is capable of!! :)

Nowhere ... I took the T/Bird ;D Tenere is being prepared for it's adventure to the deepest, darkest corners of the Black Forest.

We're going to Germany

Ok I have to admit it the Blue bikes are faster or I think it might be because I was embarrassed and didn't want any one to see me.

::013:: That was a good day ride, even though I had a hard time keeping up with you at the end of the day riding your black Tenere . ;D

Today I did another ride. Had a good meal at Mono Cliffs Inn, in Mono Centre, ON ; it's a must go for beer, good food ($15.00) and up to a $1000, yes $1000 bottles of wine, down in a cave, a wine cellar built in 1867, I had ice tea :) . Lots of bikes in the parking lot.

Congratulations ST that's quite the accomplishment. Few questions, how was the Dempster? did you do this trip by yourself? how was the weather and what time of year was this. ::008::

I took my bike (1400mi!) off road for the first time over the weekend. Nothing but a nasty, ill maintained narrow, windy, gravelly, dirt road, but definitely nowhere I would have ever ridden any of my other bikes. I had a blast seeing different things and seeing how effectively TC2 works.

Sounds like fun, but: ::006::

In the year I've own a Tenere I've ridden:

To where the buffalo roam (this was actually the ride home on day one)

New River Bridge in WV

The Blue Ridge Parkway (not that big a deal, it's close to home)

Some great dirt roads

To The Adirondacks twice

Up Mt. Washington (love this road)

Acadia National Park (2011 and 2012)

The Kancamungus Highway

The Cabot Trail (summer 2011 and 2012)

On countless ferries, big and small.

An of course, Newfoundland...awesome.

And lots of places in between Newfoundland, Ohio and North Carolina. I'm pretty happy with my first 12 months of Tenere ownership. Not bad at all.

Those pictures make me want to leave on a trip today.
Me too. If I didn't just look through all those pics I'd probably be telling you that I almost never get out on a long ride. I guess I do, but damn it, I want to go somewhere. I think I might have an addiction.
