LOL …….. they can start by taking freight / prep / doc fee BS off. Then start the “talk”…..

I always crack up when I’m helping someone with a car or bike. If they can’t take it off, I walk…
Anyhow…. That stuff makes me laugh and mad at the same time.

(Shop by phone around the country. Then fly and ride/drive, save thousands.)

Anyway, keep in mind that it is a Triumph… if you compare the px in the UK with px in the USA… it is the same… plus freight

Thank you very much. I’ve never been a negotiator with dealers. This is the advice I was looking for. Got any more. Lay it on me. I’ve sent some emails to other dealers. Wainting on responses. I’m gonna take your advice and call. I love my S10 and it’s been a great bike. I’m just ready for one last firebreather bike. When I ride my BREATHED on ZRX1200. I get a rush that my S10 won’t give me. Wish it had my ZRX engine on it. NEVER thought I’d buy a bike with a beak

Some reviews say Tigers have some vibrations. My right hand doesn’t like vibrations. It got smashed 10 years ago by a 50” live oak log doing hurricane cleanup. I can’t ride my CR500 anymore bbecause of vibes and being 67yroIMG_2148.jpegIMG_7386.png

I love doing these deals……. One time a friend hit me up looking for a new car. Long story short, it was a $46K new sticker van. After I put the deal together, he drove it away @ $35k……… LOL

They had to go about 6-7 hours away to pick it up.

you can PM for more suggestions if you like. I first suggest a legal pad, a few pen’, a few back up pencils and Google. Start calling. Typically I might call 15-20-30 car dealers around the country. (Works basically the same with any other NEW vehicle). Write down all the info you possibly can. Know exactly what you want.
You (I do) can start to get the ‘idea’ of what you can get (Xxxxxxxxxx) for. Somewhere, someone, wants what you want, gone….today.
If you want the big savings, this is your new temporary 3rd…..4th job. It’s work…. What’s it worth to you?
I got LOTS more tips & tricks………… LOL

If you’re negotiating, be reasonable, they’re in business. Most importantly though, be prepared to walk away if the deal isn’t right for you. New shiny stuff has a way of making us buckle at the slightest pressure.

Of course if you're in the US, you can do a fly and ride, train and ride, and just buy it at Romney Cycles in WV. No BS, best prices, and they support our riding community. A number of people rode in to the Camp N Ride this year and rode away on new Triumphs.

And remember the "globalization"….The expected inflation in the UK for 2023 is of the order of 6% (they have been above 8% between 5/22 vs 5/23)…..surely that new px in UK, will be translated to the Tiger px in the US…at the end of 2023…

That's a full retail insult and imho it is not even worth trying to negotiate with sales people presenting something like this.

As Dirt_Dad wrote, try Romney because they are a long day's drive from you. Ask for George as he is most knowledgeable about these bikes and tell him I sent you. Prices also change sharply by month so if you call today (in May), see what "special offers" they have and then call again tomorrow (June). btw - They had that bike on the floor and I know two more were in crates a month ago when we held the Camp-n-Ride there.

OR

Keep watching Cycle Trader for ads like these:
and

I learned that most of the super low mileage bikes are repos after a buyer doesn't make the first payment and they still have most of the full three year warranty. You need to keep watching for new ads because the really low priced ones either disappear fast OR more commonly a dealer will keep them posted just to get people to call even though the bike sold long before.

I’d like to buy from them since they are somewhat local. 105 miles. They will put you on the back burner if you didn’t buy from them when you need service. Might callem and make an offer. Don’t know what to offer. I’ve noticed a lot dealers have bikes listed they don’t actually have.

That only means that you have to finance somewhere else.
yes... that's why I said that if Tenman could get a cheaper rate (elsewhere)... he could make a cash offer and make 48 payments to another (cheaper)... but hardly anyone will finance you for 48 months, without taking inflation into the final account….
and that with 140 miles, would be the best option (without freight costs, and other expenses)…..but…Cash :)

Cash only raises REDFLAGS too me. . . .
I've heard, and seen, that some manufacturers were not allowing outside financing. It was when there wasn't any new inventory. It's been my experience that "cash only" from a dealership is lower because they have less work to make the sale.

I just recently bought a new car and did go through manufacturer financing 'cuz they were offering 0.9%. Our best percentage around here otherwise, even at credit unions, was 6.4%

A friendly place to look into financing: https://www.frf1.com/ (not affiliated, just passing along)

(They also have a high yield on-line savings account option.......4.25% apr and FDIC insured, in case your 401k isn't doing so well and you're looking for someplace to diversify.)
