BIG news!!

The 660 project is entering a new dimension. Off the Road (OTR), the German manufacturer / distributor of accessories for motorcycle is going to help me improve a lot the 660.

OTR has a lot of experience in the XT660Z. They have also done preparations to participate in races. Thanks to them, the bike’s development will be much more effective and fast, and I can learn from their experience to avoid mistakes.Their help allows me to go a lot further in the mods than I could have ever dreamed

I love how easy it’s been to reach a deal with them; despite the distance and language they were immediately enthusiastic about the project and they have offered their advice at any time.I think the Yamaha-Ausió -OTR combination will be the bomb!

been following your blog Jaume.

can't wait to see the finished product.
I meanwhile have been braking and repairing my ST. All is well, and the grin factor is still high :p

Nice!

I have been to the OTR shop in Germany and purchased some goodies for the Super Tenere.

If only I could have the 660Z...........

I think the Mrs needs one of these as her next bike ::013::

We did an Enduro day on Honda CRX250's last weekend and both loved it - I was amazed at what a bike can do, I certainly did nothing and wherever I pointed this thing it went there

Planning a day with the big S10 next spring, just to see what they are capable of in the hands of an idiot, but the CRX blew us both away, the Mrs has only been riding 6 months and went everywhere the boys did, although she did hit the deck a few times (no point wasting the damage waiver ::008::)

The only real shame for us is almost nowhere to ride of-road in the UK, especially near where we live, but thinking of future Euro Trips, as long as the 660 can cruise the motorways we could be looking at a lot of gravel road based trips in future.

I hope the Mrs is 6ft tall ;-) I just met a Brazillian guy with one... loves it, but he's a big guy on a tall bike... parked next to the Super Terene it looked about a foot taller!

It is a tall bike. I'm 1,78 metres and I reach on tip toes. One option is to fix some rear suspension links to lower the bike.
The ABS version is about 5 cm lower thanks to shorter suspensions.

The Mrs is about 6 foot so may fit on one, she loved the Enduro day so may well be up for a 660, really depends on a test ride, may even trade in her bike plus my commuter and share her next bike if it is something I can commute on in the week.

I did not realise it is much taller than the S10.

The deciding factor is likely to be how well it cruises as it will be her only bike and get used for everything from the odd lane to Euro trips.
