Neutral light works. New clutch switch.
Assuming the previous fault code was cleared using the diagnostics menu after fitting the new clutch switch, have you checked for fault codes again?Neutral light works. New clutch switch.
I never saw a fault code. I did find a neutral switch on a schematic. Its on the left side somewhere above the footpeg. I can't see anything that looks like it without lifting the tank.Assuming the previous fault code was cleared using the diagnostics menu after fitting the new clutch switch, have you checked for fault codes again?
Won't start with the clutch pulled in gear sidestand up. The cruise has been working fine. A guy on his Harley ask me why I was having to find neutral to start. He said all those jap bikes have too much shit on them. I'm gonna see about the fault codes. Haven't ever had to do it before. At the end of the day, most problems we have go back to the last thing we did to the bike. I've got some experience with a McCruise unit, but not on the Super Ten. Lets just say I am suspicious of any connection from the McCruise.
First, please clarify. The bike won't start in gear with the clutch lever pulled in and the side stand up? Is this correct?
Next, the side stand is just an open/close circuit. Unplug it and on the harness side make a jumper wire that connects both of the pins from the harness to each other. This should tell the bike that the side stand is up.
Then see what happens. See if the bike will now start in gear with the clutch in. If so, something is flaky in the side stand switch.
Gen I bikes may not have the double switch in the clutch switch. No factory CC, so not needed, (I think).
You replaced Switch 3GM-83980-00-00? Gen II uses a different part number.
Please, show to this guy this video,Won't start with the clutch pulled in gear sidestand up. The cruise has been working fine. A guy on his Harley ask me why I was having to find neutral to start. It is like the most important switch because it has the ability to stop the engine even with the clutch pull, in gear obviouslyJump the side stand switch wires. Then see if it will start in gear with the clutch in.
