The county of 45K people I live in is a covid hot spot and has been since March. We started out losing 27 people in one small nursing home. I know thirteen people that have died from the covid. From what we have been through, you would think people would be lined up for the vaccine. The local hospital is overflowing with covid patients. The hospital was high on the state list for getting the vaccine and got their supply the first day. As of today only 400 of the 900 employees have taken the vaccine. In my small circle of facebook friends it looks like around 75% have declared they won't take a vaccine. If this is the trend nation wide, we're in a lot of trouble.

I’ve been curious about how the homeless in CA have been dealing with it. We often hear CA being the homeless capital and all the benefits they get for being there but we or I haven’t heard if the homeless are dropping like flies due to covid....specifically.
For better or worse, experts at social distancing.
As long as you, and the people you truly care about get the vax. . . . let Darwinism take care of the rest. My boys, and their significants will be in the first wave of vaxes. My wife and I will be in the g-pop wave. By the time I get vaxed. . . . anybody not. . . . isn't going to. There comes a point where the vaxed, are not responsible for keeping the non-vaxed from catching it.

I saw on the news here that the percentage of people who now said they would take the vax in the US has risen from 68% to 75% overall

It's not fake. The media is cleverly using one persons video trying to show the plunger not being depressed. Do a quick search of this and you will see that he was actually injected. Fake media at its best hour.
I'm Sorry. I wasn't referring to people that can't get vaxed, just the ones that won't get vaxed. I forgot about the ones that aren't allowed to receive it.

I don't have a dog in this fight but I do wonder why the Medical Center had to vaccinate the nurse a second time and go on record as saying it had done so instead of just confirming that what was filmed the first time was the actual injection and people were wrong when they didn't see the plunger move. Probably a perfectly plausible reason why but stuff like this just raises doubt with certain segments of the population.

I have watched several videos of the nurses getting vaccinated. When the nurse in question received his, the plunger was clearly already pressed down to the bottom before the needle went into his arm. Other nurses receiving the vaccination at the same time at the same place all had their plungers extended the the beginning and then were clearly pushed downed to the bottom during the vaccination. According to what I have seen in the video, this nurse was not vaccinated. Maybe it was intentional, maybe he received a needle that was accidentally not filled with the vaccine, maybe he received the used needle from the nurse before him (I really hope this wasn't the case). I don't have an answer for any of this.

I am disgusted and very angry today for what I have seen. Our county and most of CA has a stay at home order except for essentials. All bars, restaurants, barbers, salons, etc are supposed to be locked down. No indoor or outside dining or drinking. My wife and I had to go out and do some ATM banking and funds transfers. So we waited until today to do it.
So we took a leisurely drive back home the "long way". Windows up, AC on recirculating and away from human contact. I know of a local biker bar stop (Cooks Corner) in forest area near home we could sit in the shade and have lunch since it was closed. Should be a ghost town just like all the other places.
WTF!! What total BS!! Bikers revving their motors and parking lot packed and bar open inside and out. On the way home we were dodging drunk bikers. Needless to say lunch was eaten off the side of a road nowhere near these idiots.
This is not a media picture. Over 200 motorcycles and hundreds of bikers no masks getting wasted inside and outside the bar. After turning around there is a stupid county sign flashing don't drink and drive and watch out for bikers.
Here are just a few of the pictures I took through my rolled up windows. This is only a small bit of the bikes here. It was a zoo of waddlers and paddlers that stretched out to about 1/4 mile. Most of the crowd was hammered and could hardly walk or ride. No cops in sight. A damn free for all!! This is why COVID is not going away. All these A holes are concerned with is boozing it up and risking everyone else around them.

Those same bikers who know why you torque head bolts in a sequence...they somehow cant make the jump from that to reading a research paper and thinking on their own. Its amazingly frustrating.
