Thankyou! This is our small local cathedral, perhaps the best one among the second class cathedrals, but Florence plays in another league.

Did a week in Florence. Rented a flat in Via Maffia just out of the tourist part. Absolutly stunning place. Nice Art Gallerys aswell.

Every time I go to Florence I feel the " power" of the city.
It is easy to understand why it was the centre of everything back in the 1500 or so.
It's stunning to see what they managed to build thinking of the technology of the time...
Those Da Vinci, Michelangelo and co must have been truly genius...
Or alien lol:D

Probably a bit of both. I must return one day even if its just for the Gelato !

never been to Florence but i dated a girl called Elisabetta from there when i was living in Sydney in 1992. My god. Spectacular. think she called her hometown Firenze?

Sugar Pine reservoir was nice and blue but ready for some rain runoff!
Great pics! Used to live in Truckee and nothing beats the air and blue skies out there.
