Thankyou! This is our small local cathedral, perhaps the best one among the second class cathedrals, but Florence plays in another league.
Did a week in Florence. Rented a flat in Via Maffia just out of the tourist part. Absolutly stunning place. Nice Art Gallerys aswell.
Every time I go to Florence I feel the " power" of the city.
It is easy to understand why it was the centre of everything back in the 1500 or so.
It's stunning to see what they managed to build thinking of the technology of the time...
Those Da Vinci, Michelangelo and co must have been truly genius...

never been to Florence but i dated a girl called Elisabetta from there when i was living in Sydney in 1992. My god. Spectacular. think she called her hometown Firenze?
been to Florence 3 times all for just the weekends, we stayed there when down for the MOTO GP at Mugello

Foresthill road around 6,000 feet in the Sierra Nevada Mts., frozen moisture due tonight and tomorrow. Probably April or May before it's open now.
Sugar Pine reservoir was nice and blue but ready for some rain runoff!

I'm at 2,850 and they have backed off the snow and just rain now for us but should produce good snow above 5K. Works for me as we have had snow twice already down here. Looks real nice for moisture over the next two weeks, bring it!
