He's had a real rough monsoon season, washed out that road twice, had to start from scratch both times. The fact you got up there at all is a good sign.
Yeah, there is a couple of difficult areas due to storm run off. Lots of loose gravel too. You don’t want to lose momentum in the steeper spots!

MacKenzie Mountain Look-off - Cabot Trail

Weather was great sunny and 20C and I managed to get away from old house restoration duties. So decided to take a lunch, hit the road and do some twisties. Stopped off at MacKenzie Mountain look off and ate my lunch with a fabulous view. The winds were strong so that made it even more fun. I discovered that since the bike has been sitting and not getting much use this summer that the back caliper was sticking. This became apparent when the cruise keep dropping out. So a few quick front and back brake taps and the cruise remained stable. Time to take the back caliper off and see how to free it up.

Silver Ball near Royston for breakfast. Then past these huge hangers near Bedford, on the way home. Not sure if this pic shows the scale of just how big they are.

Airship, R101 hangers, Just up the road from me, and Squibb is even closer I believe. Big buggers aren’t they. Big bands rehearse their shows in them. Quita a lot of filming is done in them. Some years back the BRE built a huge block of flats out of timber to test how high they could go, and after all the tests were done they set light to it to test the fireproofing etc.

Today... Finland, South-Karelia, +5 degrees. Someone can say that the driving season is short in Finland. I think it's just a matter of attitude... :)
We've had two cold fronts come through. And oddly enough that about what are temps are too. For the next week our highs will be between 5°-10°C. Which is also just a few degrees above my candy ass minimum. So yup, I'll be riding.

I’m a bit north of you and Squibb, in South Northamptonshire. I’ve been riding past these hangers regularly for 25 ish years, never stopped close by before. Took a different route today and found myself closer than previously, so had a nose.

I rode my S10 to the new location for Gateway BMW, Chesterfield, MO. They relocated to a new location with twice the building size. It is a great shop.

Cardington? When I was a Direct Access motorcycle instructor I did my assessment there, on a very very windy RAF runway. A few of us running up and down shouting instructions at pretend pupils wobbling about on large BMWs.
