Went from Jacksonville, Fl. to Helen, Ga. - only 400 miles or so, but the first 150 was in a downpour - the Klim gear performed brilliantly. It's time for new boots though, they've lost their water-proofiness.

Rolled out to Bethlehem, PA for my Sister's wedding this weekend. Wish I had some more time out there to do some real riding. High-tailed it back home today in one shot and hit a fair amount of rain and nasty crosswinds. One way shot was just over 760 miles. At least the wedding went well and both the trip there and back were safe...

Took a nice run from Manassas, VA to Baltimore then to Waldorf, MD and dusk run home. Seventy degrees and lots of fun. 11 Hours, including meetings and dinner. Broke in the new boots too. 217 mi before hitting the reserves and showed 46.8 mpg at fill-up.

Rode 100 miles of back roads from Santa Rosa CA to Davis CA and 20 miles of US-50 home. Beautiful evening, very light traffic, and the Tenere loved the rural twisties.

Have the Latitude, Jaxon. Got a little water in around the jacket zipper which was my fault for not securing the outer flaps properly. Other than that came through the downpours nice and dry.

Will be shopping for new gloves and boots shortly - they were the weak points in my gear - it was fine, but wet fingers and toes would've been miserable if the temps dropped a bit.

650km fall colors day ride with two friends, most of the pictures are from my phone. we went around Lake Maskoka, Lake Rosseau and just east of Algonquin Park for a bit of trail ride, don't have all the pictures, there was sand leaves and rock, some parts of it wasn't easy for me.
We had some challenges, fist the KTM 950SM hit a rock and damaged a hose, started leaking oil, but a tie wrap fixed it. Three deer crossed 100m in front of me and that was a bit scary.
The Suzuki 650DR almost lost the tail light and the tool tube, electrical tape and more tie wraps fixed it, I almost dropped the Tenere, was holding it until they came to help, the terrain was a bit rough and I didn't want to let it go :D . It was a great day.

I thought my Fall color rides were done for 2012, two days later I went with Limey and his friend again for a 850km ride, a bit more to the east.

Really nice roads and scenery again, I rode for 15 and half hours and think that was the longest time I've ever been on the road in on day. I think Paul was testing me to see if I'm good enough to go with him to Colorado next year ::025::.

We only stopped a couple times for pictures, and the last one we stopped 10 minutes too late, Paul had a better camera and the sunset would've looked nice.
I'll edit a few pictures from my phone.

Just completed my IBA Bun Burner Gold. Did 1520 miles in 23hrs 12 minutes. No stops except for fuel. Lots of construction on I-80 east of Reno that really slowed things down.

The ST ran like a champ.

The BMS seat worked great. Didn't even thinks about the seat as it was that comfy.

The ST really drinks gas on the posted 80MPH sections on I-15 in Utah. I was seeing mid 30's during this section.

The only thing I am disappointed in is the fuel mileage at speed. My personal goal is 50MPG, and the ST is hovering around 44MPG (with Jesse Bags). I have a Power Commander (not installed), so a new exhaust and some dyno work is in order at some time in the future.

As I have made the same observations regarding the mpg at elevated highway speeds, I'll be following your efforts toward better mileage. So far, at least for my uses, that is the only weak point for the S-10. On a trip last month of almost 9000 miles my mileage varied from 32 to 57 mpg. The lowest (32) was on highway runs at 75 to 80 mph at lower elevations with the highest was at under 65 mph while in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Montana (up 12,000 ft.).

My pleasure, the forum keeps refusing big files. Good rides with not so good pictures .
I have to resize my stuff before I upload them to my web server and try to point to them from here. Otherwise I just see little red-x'd boxes on the preview. I usually just go ahead and force the resize to 640 x 480 figuring someone can go to Webshots and look at the full size ones if they so desire. It's a feature.

Took an off-road trail east of Queen Valley in Arizona. This is far east of the Phoenix valley. The ride was cool in the morning but warmed up to mid 80's. Not too bad but I brought only one bottle of water. Did the ride solo so I had to be a little careful. Still getting the hand of the off road riding. Quickly learning how to relax and let the bike work underneath me. The more I loosen up, the better it rides. I learned some good techniques for going down long steep rocky hills. On the way back the confidence grew and I realized the importance of staying on the throttle in most low traction situations. I am still riding on the stock tires but aired them down below 30 psi and it made a big difference. Can't wait to get the K60's. I had the money but my daughter's car needed tires first :(

Let me know next time you go; if I'm in town I'll try to tag along.
