Thanks Squibb. Yeah, I've had to do that before and I was about ready to resort to that. A little pushing and pulling whilst the air was being administered, along with a bit of bouncing and turning up my compressor's pressure setting (more flow presumably) finally got it.You may have already tried this ....... but a good tip if the beads are pinched together in transit, is to spoon the tyre on & then get a ratchet strap around the circumference & tighten up gently until the profile corrects itself. Worked a treat on my Electraglide rear.
When I was a kid working in a service station we had ratchet-type strap device that was actually a tube you could inflate once you got it strapped on around the perimeter of the tire as tight as you could by hand. That got a stubborn car tire to seat about 9 times out of 10. Sometimes we had to use two of them.
