I don't think I could ever do that! I never hose wash my bikes anyway, (maybe the lower half) just wipe them down.Stridey said:I did this!

I plan on wrapping the pipes with header wrap, which I have used before in other applications to reduce radiant heat as much as 50%. If I had two of these I bet $$ I could use them as truck ramps to change my oil. I cant wait to hear the replies on this one.......
Totally agree with the point about being able to detect a puncture that's occurred in route. Happened to me on my ST1300 which had a SmarTire TPMS system installed. The warning went off at 75 MPH in the carpool lane of the 405 Freeway in heavy but fast moving traffic. The warning allowed me time to navigate across 6 lanes of traffic to reach an off ramp and to find a service station with an air hose, all before I could actually feel the tire going flat. I carry a plug kit and compact compressor but who wants to do that on the shoulder of the freeway??bnschroder said:In the process of installing Orange TPMS on my bike. This has been the one thing that a GS comes with that I was missing on the Tenere.
And before someone starts ranting that TPMS is BS and pre-ride tire checks are the ticket, I can share that a good friend of mine had a rear tire on his Wing disintegrate 40 Miles after the morning check due to a puncture he must have picked up shortly into the ride. Lucky him, it happened to him on the Foothills Parkway at leisurely speed, but the thought of it happening on a full Interstate doing 85 has always freaked me out. No more.

Damn! what happened? As I was reading your update, I was thinking you would have basically a brand new bike, but your story had a sad ending! :'(Shipwreck said:Last week I got some blue plastics from Bart on here... Thank you for a smoking deal sir!
I also ordered yoshi slip on, Arrow headers, ECU Reflash, KnN filter, Wider taller smoke windsheild, some side wind protection, Solobox for the top and some fresh silkolene synth oil, hi-filtro filter and spark plugs.
So now that all the parts arrived, I broke my wrist and arm, both brakes on right arm so the parts are going to sit in my garage for 11 more weeks... )-;
