Wow. You must do some serious ridding. Will it be welded together or are you using a metal brake? I guess you plan on removing it for oil changes. I also like your lift. Who makes that. I have something similar that i made? I copied the Easy Lift it uses a acme threaded rod. Haven't got around to make brackets for my s10 yet but it works great for my fz1.
Its all tig welded 100% and yes I remove the plate for oil changes. Its 4 bolts and with the ABBA Skylift that I have ( heavily modified ) its a breeze. I would like to think that I do some serious riding, but I don't, I just like to have a well equipped bike. I do take the bike off road, and sometimes finding the best place to camp has some rough terrain. I had an ACD skid plate and it is really only good for dirt roads. I have had it off multiple times to hammer it back into shape.

Inspected the intake valves and piston heads for carbon deposits after 2 tankfuls of TCW3 Marine Outboard oil mixture to fuel (500:1). Sad to say, it doesn't clean up deposits as there is an increase of deposits to the intake valves, but not to the pistons.

Inspected the air filter and found a some toilet paper inside the box. What ?????? No way a long piece of paper can go past the cables and wires on top of the engine and into the air box. Must be rats. Need to make a grill for the air box now.

Made some heated grip cable extensions for my Gen 2.
Bought the connectors off of Easter Beaver, then added 10cm of cable. Extension is about 12cm total once plugged in
Made my RRR Tools riser +Raptor Bar more usable now.
I would like to do the same thing. Which connectors should I order, please?
Thank You!

Gen 2 heated grips use the following connector: Nippon -Tanshi’s 3P Turn Signal Connector

Making a skid plate that is 1/4 thick 6061 and follows the ACD mounting style. I will add the vent holes later....

That's an impressive build. Two thoughts to share:

1. You had an ACD so are probably already aware, but if not, do a search for the threaded studs which make the removal easier for oil changes.

2. Not sure how much venting you are considering, but while the engine is water cooled it does need some serious air flow for cooling. As-is, you just trapped it with the heat coming off the exhaust pipes.

Brought the "blue mule" home from dealer(warranty) service. Fork seals :-X.
012 model w/5400mi. This seems a little premature.

I installed a $27 windscreen spoiler from Amazon to see if it would help with the dirty air around my helmet. With very little fiddling I took it to the grocery on a windy Colorado day and, man, if it didn't clean up 90% of the dirty air. Great add in my opinion. Nothing else has worked including a taller after market screen and Madstad bracket. Finally enjoying the ride instead of constantly trying to diagnose the issue. ::013::

For the price, that's a great solution.
It still doesn't address the fact that the S10 requires a narrow windshield, you always get side winds blowing in on you.
(how often do you get perfect air to ride in?)
Rode to work last week, going home it was very breezy! My unconventional wide shield did outstanding!
Yeah I still get wind coming off the side but it is clean air now instead of turbulence. Not sure how the spoiler helped with that but it is nice. Riding with my cheap HJC yesterday and today so look forward to trying it with my new Shoei which is supposed to be quieter. I'll check out your profile and windscreen solution as well. Maybe it can be even better!

Put a similar one on mine. Took a bit to get it in the ideal position but it works pretty good - I can pretty much ride with the visor up on my helmet all the time.

I was a little concerned that the aluminium clamp might block my view (especially when on dirt) but so far it's not too bag. Keeps most of the bugs off my visor too...

Took it out to find some gravel roads. Got back about an hour ago and now it's snowing. This winter has been way too long. Planning on Arizona next winter!

Put some scratch protection on the tank.
And hope to get on the road in about 14 days. (if we are a bit lucky, they have put the last salt on the road, but we need rain to wash it away)

Looks great! Where'd you get it? I've looked around a little but haven't been able to find that design...

Thank you :)
This is original Yamaha stickers. And the glue on the stickers is very good, so I think the stickers will sit tight for a long time.
Links with parts number below. This is though the Yamaha Nordic, but I'm pretty sure that parts number is the same workdwide.

I have been thinking about doing the same with mine. Did you remove the latch post at the rear before coating?

Mounted up some new Michelin tires.
I'm giving the new road 5 a try on our upcoming 4 corners ride around the US in May. The road 5 trail for the front wasn't available here locally yet, so the front got the pilot road 4 trail.
Total distance for the ride, including the leg home is around 17,000 km so I'm hoping they might make it. If not there will be a tire change out east somewhere.

My son has a tire machine at his shop which makes tires changes a whole lot easier.

Previous owner had installed some type of tire balance liquid which makes a hell of a mess on a change out.

Yes, all attachments were removed, stripped down to only the aluminum plate before powder coating. I was worried the coating might interfere with the latching mechanism.

I think that is green slime unless I am mistaken. I know some folk put that in their tires just in case they get a puncture. In theory it would self seal without going flat. Not sure if it works though.

The trouble with using any kind of goop inside your tires is that if you get a hole too big for the goop to handle, it can interfere with the adhesion of a plug or patch that would normally work in the absence of the goop. Also, if you've installed a TPMS system, most manufacturers recommend not using goop, beads etc.
