Parking lights.
But agree, make not so much sense, because you can't have them on, unless the key is in, and ignition on.
Would make sense, if they also could be turned on, when ignition in "Parking", where turnsignal and hazard can be turned on.
Maybe in some part of the world it is possible?
Yep, parking lights, turn handlebars all the way to left, depress ignition key while turning left (off) and you will have parking lights. Don't forget to run them off if you leave the bike longer than two hours.

I bought 1 of these from OFF THE ROAD and tried to install it today. But hole was too small for stock mounting bolt. Mounting bolt .470 hole in Shifter .470 hole in stock shifter .473. Lucky for me my good friend is a great machinist. So new bolt from Yamaha and he will make it fit. Better then sending it back.

Anodized aluminum is a harder surface than plain aluminum. (a very thin layer)
If you machine that off you will be down to the plain aluminum and it will wear out much faster!

As ColoradoKLR stated he has bought a new bolt from Yamaha, I think he's friend is going to machine the bolt not the lever, so there shouldn't be a problem going through the hard anodised surface on the lever.

Is there a reason you can't just get a different-sized bushing, rather than actually dinking around with the bolt? Or are the bolt and bushing a single unit? Machining a bolt risks altering the strength of the metal.

Looks like he was only talking about a few thousandths of an inch. That's not going to affect it.
The bolt would be MUCH easier to mod.

I'd advise against a fenda extender on the front guard if you are going to ride gravel roads/offroad. Mine got torn off after hitting a large pothole - suspension compressed putting the fender extender behind the bash pad and then tearing it off once things got back into shape. Cracked the front guard too - I must get it fixed one day...

This is good to know. Luckily I try to stick to the black top... lol I have a YZ450 for the dirt (-:

Spring will soon be here so I spent an hour or so finishing up a few tasks I have been putting off till it finally warmed up. Cleaned the front and rear caliper pistons and relubed the rear caliper pins with some sil-glyde. Pins had almost no lube so I check yours if you haven't lately.

I picked up a used set of Altrider crashbars last week and managed to get them bolted on as well. Bike is pretty much ready to go.

Nursed it back home 265 miles with four broken spokes fully loaded with gear..
I knew i should have shut my mouth about how well my spokes have been holding up!! :'(
I torque my spokes every 2,000 miles, it is a must do IMO. I find at least 4 on the rear wheel loose every time I check them. The front isn't as bad but I still check them every 2,000 miles.

Made some heated grip cable extensions for my Gen 2.
Bought the connectors off of Easter Beaver, then added 10cm of cable. Extension is about 12cm total once plugged in
Made my RRR Tools riser +Raptor Bar more usable now.

Changed oil, filter, and gear oil. Supposed to be decent tomorrow. It needs to get outside. I’ve been riding and enjoying the DR a bit too much. ::26::

I would like to do the same thing. Which connectors should I order, please?
Thank You!

Wow. You must do some serious ridding. Will it be welded together or are you using a metal brake? I guess you plan on removing it for oil changes. I also like your lift. Who makes that. I have something similar that i made? I copied the Easy Lift it uses a acme threaded rod. Haven't got around to make brackets for my s10 yet but it works great for my fz1.

I finally got out for the first ride of the year! The weather has been really poor this year in my area. Felt so good to finally get out there.

This was also my first longer-term fuel storage test with K-100MG fuel treatment. It did great! I put the bike away a little earlier than usual last year, around November 15th; so the gas was 4 and a half months old. I noticed no hard starting, no loss of power and no strange smell to the fuel. Last year I used Star tron fuel stabilizer and the first ride of the year, the bike was hard to start and ran horribly until I was able to run the gas all the way out and re-fill with fresh fuel.
