Re: Quality time in the garage during hibernation.
Hey Don, I just ordered some Givi crash bars today myself after a lot comparing and research. Glad to hear you like them. Random Question for you, do you think you would able to prop your feet on top on the crash bars while riding down the road to simulate highway pegs? A different knee position for highway riding is one reason I purchased crash bars. ThanksDon T said:My bike have been hibernating for a couple of month now, and there is still at least a month until it leaves the garage again. This doesn't mean that I can't spend quality time with my steed
Besides the regular winter TLC I decided to add a few items to the bike this year, so today I mounted Givi crash bars and a Givi ST602 tank bag.
The crash bars were easy to install - everything line up nicely. It feels like a quality product.
The main reason for acquiring a tank bag was to have an easy accessible place to store my new camera. It fits nicely in the bag. As a side note my Moto G5 Plus fits perfect in the phone pocket, even with a rugged cover fitted.
Another thing to mention - I checked the front brake pads a few days ago. It's the OEM pads my bike came with. They have done +64.000 km.
To my surprise they were still fine. They had between 2.8 and 3.2 mm left, so not even half worn ???
