At 5800km on the ODO, did the 1st TB sync with a home made Manometer using some aquarium hose, T-joint, ATF oil, piece of long wood and cable ties.

Followed the service manual procedures but found that I have to adjust the Right Side screw to 3/4 turns instead of leaving it untouched. Left screw has closed in fully. Initial inches of ATF was about 10" different between left and right. Surprised that it is way off this much.

I have a Akra slip on and just put in Iridium plugs ...maybe this could have aggravated the off-balance.
Ah! We've got a sync method that works better. Unscrew the seated screw 3/4 turn, adjust the other side to get a match.

Cleaned the crash guards and painted the scratches from the latest off road adventure. Installed the Touratech brake extension.

Between yard work and honey do's for the wife. I snuck some time in and mounted my new custom powder coated Rumbux protection system!

Thanks to Eric Vaillancourt with Eval Innovations for going the extra mile and getting the color matched!

Looks good!
Now that you have protection you shouldn't be skeered of riding some dirt roads right? Well good conditioned dirt that is, you still have stock tires and those don't like Texas clay mud or loose sand much. Let's ride.

Today I installed the OEM crash bars, Madstad adjustable bracket, set up my SJ5000x camera, and packed for a 30 day trip. Leaving on the 7th.

I installed them so I could grip the tank when braking. They were great for a week or so, the grip wore off very quickly. Now all they do is protect my tank from scratches.

I looked at it setting in the garage while I mowed the lawn for three hours. :(
But two days ago I put on the OEM heated grips, which I got when I bought the bike in early May, I figured I better get them on to make sure they work (they do).
And yesterday I installed my new altrider crash bars. :). Then I went for a nice two hour ride. ::001::

Installed EZ Tire Beads and took for a test ride! Much smoother on the highway now! My tires must have been way out of balance. Did anyone else notice that their rear wheel has no balancing weights on it?

Anyways now that is done, I am still trying to fine tune the suspension....

I installed the Eastern Beaver electrical box today on my 2012 ST. With all the guidance on the Forum, the install was very straight forward. I installed the box under the seat by removing the black plastic tray. Attaching the box to the tray with a 3/8 inch spacer to allow easier access to add new equipment. I also drilled a 1/2" whole to allow the wires to access the box easily. I wired into the available accessory port by removing the cover and snapping in the Eastern Beaver provided port right in. No additional pins were needed. Tied everything down and works great. Thanks Forum for all the guidance.

I put an IL plate on it and took it for a ride! I finally pulled the trigger and got one after months of debate and inaction. I bought JustBob's Blue 14 ES. Nice bike and a great guy. I had been looking new for months, but then the used Gen 2's started showing up. Able to get to KY and back it one long day with a UHaul motorcycle trailer.

Went for a short ride up to a local bike meet with my mate for the first time in several years. He has only just got back on the road with his adapted HD and sidecar, while I am struggling with Degenerative Disc Disease. Great to get out but the 50 mile trip almost killed me. Might have to trade my S10 in for something I can fit a decent seat with lumbar support.
