not quite up to date because of slow, painfully slow internet connections...

two days ago Washington Highway 20, up and over riding the curves...

yesterday, Olympic Peninsula... Port Townsend to Forks...

today Cape Flattery and Hoh Rain Forest and stuff.....

Looked around the shop for something to make a GPS mount out of... found a clamp used to hold two parts of a cyclone fence together. Some cutting, filing, a little paint, drilled some holes. Bam! works great.

Brought her home. 74 miles from Denver to home via Highway 83, then Highway 24. Great mix of traffic lights, open rural roads, some interstate and twisties heading up Ute Pass.

Bought oil and gear lube for a fluids change tomorrow.

Ordered AltRider crash bars and a RideOnAdv skid plate.

New brake pads. This is the first bike I've ever owned that has needed brake pads more often than valve adjustments!

Thanks to Jaxon at Ride on adv. I now have a shiny new rear shock. After our recent 10 day "meet our moderator" ride through central B.C.in June of 4000 km and around 1/2 of that off pavement it was pretty evident that I had gotten my full moneys worth out of the stock shock.
A few more miles needed to fine tune the settings, but the change in ride is quite noticeable after the 65,000 km OEM shock.

Installed the Altrider skid plate and crash bars. Looks great, but kind of disappointed with the scratches and chips from the factory on the black powder coated crash bars. However, once I scratch them up, I won't care. :D

Today I installed a V Stream shield and a set of Fastway F3 pegs in the low position. Tomorrow, it's the Madstad shield mounting system and a set of black satin Moose Racing fat bars in the XC tall bend. It's getting better and better.

Put 3M protective material on my tank underneath where the tank bag will sit. Finished the job in the dark using a headlight so won't know until tomorrow how well the installation went.

Installed the Wolfman tankbag straps and verified the Wolfman Rainier bag will work on the bike.
