Closed the door on her in an Atlas cage before we start the trip from Edmonton Alberta to Arlington Virginia. The Caliber to the right will soon be filled with two German Shepherds, a 13 year old cat, and a pissed-off French Canadian wife, who didn't buy my argument that me riding behind would provide additional flexibility. Oh well, I trade a 5 month riding season for a 10 month one!
Welcome to Northern Virginia. We can usually get 11 to 12 months of riding here. 2014 was a particularly bad winter, but normally can get out every month of the year.

Have a safe trip.

I'm sure Escapeartist will no doubt chime in shortly, but those look like what Alex at Real Time Industries offers. He has been making similar stuff for the FJR for a decade plus. Check eBay or Google Real Time Industries.

Well how about this month. Installed my Caribou luggage. Added lots of refletion tape to the rear. Removed the Bridgestones....well worn they were and installed new Anakee 3s. Lubed the axles and rear splines. I had to relearn how to remove a darn motorcycle wheel with shaft drive. New synthetic oil.

Satisfied with myself, last night I stole a can of my cats favorite cat chow....and rode 45 minutes to a covered bridge where I found a dumped stray cat a week ago. He was still there, looking a little thin and very grateful for this food. Tonight, I am making the trip in my truck with a cat box to see if I can capture him. Anybody need a nice cat. I am maxed out at three right now.

People who dump animals absolutely suck. Kill them yourself if that needs to be done or take it to a pound. But to dump it and drive off with the feeling "he/she will make it in the wild" does not cut it.

Sorry, I drifted a little from the topic. Short attention span I guess.

Nope good post.

People always said I was cold for putting down my animals (always old or sick) but to me it is far more cruel to do as you stated or to dump them off at the vet to be euthanized while they go talk about how much they miss fluffy and get their hair done.

Anyhow on to the topic, I put on the new yamaha Skid plate today, Decent coverage and I planned on modifying the front mounting brackets a bit anyhow, nice to not have to worry about a rock to the oil filter. ::018::

Dig the oversized tuning forks. Did you have those made, or have a source...perhaps? :D
Contact Alex at the link ^^^^ above and he'll set you up. I've already sent him pics of the decals on the Tenere so he'll know what you're asking about. I had him make these to specifically fit the Holan bags, so you might need to alter the sizes depending on what you have.

Installed the X-Creen "Tour" with clamp kit (from Twisted Throttle), then demoed it on I-95. VAST improvement, and a much calmer bubble of air. I like it a lot. Have to get used to the fact that it will jiggle and shake a bit at speed, but looking forward to forgetting it's even there and just riding with less buffeting.

Also took a ride to the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, CT and snapped a few pics @ Captain's Cove boatyard...

I bit the big weenie. Put a Touratech Tractive Extreme shock on Friday. Been testing things out all weekend. Driving over things that begged for caution before are now entirely different experience. Hydraulic preload adjustment is peachy. Stronger spring restored say 3/4-in. of rear ride height. Turn in feels easier. Effort to get (the bike) up on the center stand is half. Life is good.
