Dang Mark! You was busy.

Be mindful of the usb adapters as they are parasitic and should be on a switched circuit. I'm sure you know that, but does not hurt to share 'learned' stuffs.

Just peeked at her this morning, but yesterday I picked her up from the dealer and put the first 20 miles on. Also wired up the bike for heated gear, Battery tender, GPS and another Power Outlet. Also added a tail bag for now. The big money changes will soon follow.

Thanks AV, kids were in the back, we were sooo lucky, waited 4 hours for police to finally get to us for a report then take us off highway and the waited at a local fire station for assessment.
The girls made me proud, not a squeal, a whine or a whinge all that time., watched the rescue helicopters come and go.

Glad you & the girls are ok Dogdaze. Sounds like an ugly one.

A mild 22F here this morning. Small snow storm last night. Glad I took the Super Ten to the dealer last night instead of this morning! Valve check/adjust at 108k. First time since the CCT failure/rebuild. Should be interesting.

Spaced out the grab handles by 30mm - my wife was complaining about them digging in her legs - and trust me she is a small frame.

30mm spacers and new M10X1.25 X 80mm bolts.

Looks fine.

In the 30's and dropping. Even down here on the Gulf Of Mexico. Seems Canada blew hard this time.

Miserable and wet too. I don't like it. :-[

I decided I wanted to install a Garmin GPS and Cell phone mount on my bike. I sat on my bike for a few minutes and really thought about if it was worth it to install the GPS on the wind screen mount. I found that for me personally I had to lean over fairly to press the screen. This would make It hard to operate while moving. I decided to install on the left handle bar using a U bolt mount from RAM coupled to a medium ball joint. A wide range of possibilities in position and close to the left hand, almost just a finger distance away.

I also installed the Garmin USB power supply using the USB power wire that can be wired directly to a power source. I decided to wire mine into the 3 prong connection under the right Fender. I wired it to the black wire and the brown wire so it powers up when the ignition is on, and off when the key is off.

In addition I also like to use my phone for music so I installed another ubolt but this one had to be a little larger as the diameter of the handlebars differs in the middle versus the grips. It's connected using a short ball joint and x grip. It all works great, hopefully if anyone is looking for mounting solutions this can help.

Ordered a valve cover gasket. It's time for valve check again. As soon as the FJR comes off the lift (valve check also) the Super Tenere goes on. I also have to decide what to do with my suspension.

Thanks for the heads up. I put these on a switched fuse form the EB fusebox. As I did the LED light bar. Had thought about putting the light on a switch and separate relay, but it only draws 2-1/2 amps, so is a light load on the 30A EB fusebox.

Am impressed with the Mictuning light bar. Very bright for about $25, and mounted right up. Used a dremel to notch out the brackets that came with it where they would interfere with the small areas near the mounting holes under the headlight. Very easy install.
