5/23/2015: Traded the 2012 for a 2015 ES
5/23 & 24/2015: Rode about 80 miles
5/25/2015: Rode 302 miles
5/26/2015: Started to change oil & filter when I noticed fluid under the rear brake cylinder. Called the dealer, rode to the dealer, it was a loose line, fixed and good to go. Came home and changed the oil & filter at 392 miles. Washed the ES and checked a few bolts.
5/27/2015: Was planning on leaving for a three day beautiful twisty 650+ miles break-in ride. Things to do... delayed until 5/28/2015.

It's F#ride#ay.

I know a lot of you ride everyday, but I'm an NYC commuter who has to get to a train, and some days it's by car, most days by scooter (way easier when you're sprinting for a train), but on Fridays I build-in a little pleasure ride to a different station, and take the Tenere.

And smile all day long.

Fitted Pro Taper Contour bars, hoping they put a stop to the severe neck/shoulder ache I have been getting. It was so bad after a 300 mile ride last weekend that I'm still a bit sore today! I'm told on here that the severe sweep back on the stock bars is probably the cause. Hope so as I'm off on a 2000 mile trip in two weeks ::26::

Long rides will still result in rider fatigue. But the kind you feel good about. (at least I do. I EARN that fatigue with long hours in the saddle. I'm old)

But I am betting you can tell the difference in the injuries. Those stock bars HURT me. :)

Unmounted the Nelson-Riggs softballs. Used them all of thrice and got two clips broken.

Went to Cincinnati, met Glen and his dad Howard at sportour.com

Bought some GIVI trekker 33L and installed them

Yes indeed, normal long ride fatigue is fine, and I'm not exactly a youngster myself so I think I've earned it too :D but those stock bars are plain nasty !

I will do a decent run this week and see how things feel !

Let us know how this week's ride goes, and did you change the lines or were the stock ones ok? as I'm think of going this route and does the end need to be tapped to refit the handguards?
