Got fed up with the forward tilt on the oem low seat. Took off the seat seat cover and shaved down the foam to remove about a half inch from the back and flatten it down. Feels more comfy now and doesn't aggravate my lower back injury. I may have shaved off a bit too much foam though and the front feels a bit higher. Will ride with it for a little while and see how it goes.

After going for a brief 100km ride, I installed my new rack for transporting the bicycle. I have seen another shot on this forum with a Tenere/mountain bike combo.

Life is complete now that I can bring my mountain bike with me and hit some nice single track!

Where do you put your moto riding gear when you're off on the MTB?

The jacket, pants and shoes fit in the side cases. The helmet will get locked to the bike. I haven't taken it anywhere and ridden the mountain bike yet. I just got it together late this aft. I think I might be nervous if leaving the bike in a secluded area but I will probably use this set up when I can leave it in higher traffic spot. There are several areas where I bike that I would be comfortable doing this.

I used to MTB and would leave the Miata with the top down on occasion, but for me it was the opposite. Remote trailhead with no one around, I'd leave the top down. (trunk & glovebox/console locked), and feel ok about it. Middle of no where, a soft top wouldn't have been much of a deterrent. Higher traffic areas, I put the top up. Have fun playing with the combo of S10 and MTB. ::001::

If you don't have side cases you can use cables and locks. Run the cables through the legs, arms, and helmet and lock them through where ever it works.

That works ok for pants, but I carry too much crap in my jacket pockets to lock it like that w/o having to empty everything out. I'd do it in a pinch, but not for a casual short wander.

Got out for a great 300km ride, mostly gravel/ dirt roads. Ran into all conditions, some slab, tacky dirt, complete greasy muck, slush, dusty sections, and a foot of snow..
All in all one great adventure!! ::015::

Put my Seat Concepts kit together came out OK but I am always the perfectionist but I am no upholster.
Now the seat won't lock down it was a Bitch with the OEM pad now it is just not locking at all!!
I like the seat no more buzzy A$$ but I feel I am ready to go over the bars it's that high but it feels better on the knees..
Need to take it for a road trip next weekend.
