Me too. Now one of the marker lights doesn't work. Have to go back tomorrow. Should have checked before I left the dealership. Hoping they could do that job without screwing it up was too much to hope for.

I dropped mine off at the dealership today to have the headlight recall performed.
They also have to replace one of the front brake caliper bolts because it fell out.

Checked all of my spokes. At 30k they are all ringing clear still.

I also took the opportunity to pull the rear caliper and do some maintenance. I gave the slide pins a good cleaning and applied fresh high temp brake grease. I also extended the piston a bit and cleaned all the dirt/grime off.

My rear rotor is in TERRIBLE condition. I'm thinking I might have to order a new one.

Took my wife for a quick ride....just home from the Chevy dealership after dropping off our family truckster for service. She still doesn't like riding ::005::

Then I ran some errands and finally found that sweet spot for wheelies. I had been struggling to find the Tens technique for natural wheelies. All bikes seem to have a method that works for that bike and the Ten was hard for me to figure out. Not that I couldn't wheelie it, just couldn't find "THAT" spot. It does not like powering through 1st and hard shifting 2nd..just won't power up high enough to get to neutral balance. So I started backing it down to an early shift to 2nd and then blip the clutch and add lots of throttle, get it up high and then massage the twisty grip to keep it in that spot....torque it up, not power it up. Rode one a solid city block yesterday ::012::

On a side not I am ready to do my 2nd service since I crossed the 4K mile line this week....and I badly need a set of tires, stock elephants are roasted. Man I wish Mitas were easier to get here...I think I am going TKC 80s for now.

Whoever was saying they wish Mitas had a distributor here.... ::026::
Your best bet is to make friends with one of our members from the great white north and see if they will have them shipped to their location, free shipping from MX1 Canada to Canadian address' and then pay them to forward them to you through FedEx or whoever....beauty ehh

That was me, Kmac. I want that Mitas that Cosmic posted to replace my soon to be melted off BigBlock. Mx1Canada can sell/ship me that exact tire for $195US which is not bad as that is about what it costs to get a K60 rear to my door from a US retailer.

I have had FedEx and UPS accounts for almost 20 years for shipping work related stuff. I would hazard a guess that MX1Canada can ship the tire as cheap or cheaper than a private individual can. And this is not even factoring in the paperwork hassle for the trans-border component of the effort. The real sweet deal would be finding a Canuck who was travelling through your area, had room to transport a tire, and would deliver for cheaper than the $50 MX1Canada wants.

But when you get down to it, shipping a bulky and heavy item like a tire from Canada to the US for $50 is kinda a bargain considering what is involved. Still .... I would think that whoever picked up a Mitas US distributorship would get some business!!

Got my rear stainless brake lines installed. The rear brake has a more firm feel to it now. Had no issue with ABS pump either, pretty easy install. Has a been nice upgrade to the system ! ::012::

Finally found the time to install my new Penske shock from Stoltec Moto. Did the forks a few weeks ago but we had to have the house fumigated for termites, so I’ve been busy with all that BS.
Didn’t like the rubber bumper and hose clamp mount, so I made a saddle bracket out of some stainless tube (go figure!). Going riding tomorrow!

Like the fit. Where is the Preload Adjustment?

Sold my K1600GTL this morning. The S10 is now the only bike in the garage. ::012::

Mailman brought a box from Touratech. Installed their left side boot guard, and a brake pedal enlarger. Like them both. Rode for a bit, then came home and watched the Nick Sanders Incredible Ride DVD that I added to the Touratech order.

FJR needed it's annual brake & clutch flush so figured I'd get both bikes on the same schedule.

Bled the brakes and clutch on the Tenere and learned two lessons...

1) Clutch reservoir is VERY small, and...
2) Clutch reservoir will siphon and empty VERY quickly.

All's well now, clutch fluid was pretty gunky and firmed up the brakes nicely.

It's done with a spanner wrench on the Penske (No remote or hand adjuster). Best to keep the wrench under the seat.

For a more "streamlined" look, you can slide the reservoir through behind the subframe to tuck the hose more nicely.

I really like the look of that Mitas! That might be my next tire once I have melted off this set of Big Blocks. Gonna head off to MX1Canada's site to see what it takes to ship one to the states. We really need a US distributor for Mitas tires.
Soon I'll see what kind of relationship I'll establish with this one. The knobs are very soft... I don't expect miracles. I wish I am wrong, cause the 90$ price tag is very appealing

...but, the reservoir is covered with $h!t all the time and it won't work with my DIY filler panel. ::022::

After going for a brief 100km ride, I installed my new rack for transporting the bicycle. I have seen another shot on this forum with a Tenere/mountain bike combo.

Life is complete now that I can bring my mountain bike with me and hit some nice single track!
