I have thought about the SW Motech crash bars, but want to at least wait to see the ALT bars. I do like the look of the skid plate too from SW.

Twisted, will you be at the Seattle show in December?

i used the bags connection bag on my VSTROM with the quick connect, it was the slickest bag since i used the BAGSTER system years ago on my ST1100's. Bagster is a bit spendy though.

I really like the Bagster system, on my current ride I have the tank cover with bag that clips in. Not seen if they are doing tank cover yet for the Super Ten, checking now.............

.......... Only the 660 listed at the moment, maybe later next year they will do one.

You won't go far wrong with the SW Motech gear. I'm likely to take one of the 'Quick-Lock' tankbags. Also need a new magetic one for the little Firestorm.

For me it would be the Bags-Connection (by SW-MOTECH) City Quick-Lock bag. Acceptable size for local/distance riding without being too big.
You can upgrade it to electrified without changing the quick-lock function. It has a switched power lead that has two small electrifation "points" that the tankbag hooks up to without and fussing - seat the bag and the power is available whne you turn on the bike. You now have concealed and simple way to run your GPS, Phone, Radar, blender & Ipod.

You could go with the bigger GS bag if you want volume. The City holds 8-12 liters and the GS holds 17-25 liters big difference. Whichever bag you go with they both have rain covers and are quick release.

GS

Hope this helps - Kev

Hey MortiisM,

Is the tank on the ST metal? I have a cortech tank bag that has the magnetic base which has a soft covering. Was hoping to be able to use that on my ST......

GUys,

I have to admit, the Bags connection bag and the SW Motech quick detach ring is the best i have ever used since the BAGSTER tank bag system without spending $300.

Cheers Kev, I have always had a tank cover to protect the paint work, how are these being put put straight onto the tank, also whats the connection release process like.
I haven't seen the gascap for the Super Ten yet.... How it works is you install a ring similar to this one:

Then the base of the bag has a female adpter similar to this one:

At the front of the female adapter is a spring loaded pin that grabs the front of the ring on your tank. At the back side of the adapter are two "cradles" that grab the tank ring. This secures the bag to the tank at three positive locking points. This allows the bag to "hover" over the tank without touching it - thus avoiding scratching. Simple and effective.

yes it is this slick and easy to mount and dismount. Wait, we are talking about tank bags right, not old bags?
