Hi all.

Just found this forum and wanted to make our presence known. This year we are bringing a lot of gear in for the new XT1200Z and want everyone to know about it. Some is already on the way.

Besides promoting ourselves and what we already have we want to be involved in this forum to learn what you guys need. We have an in-house Industrial Designer [Nate] who designs and builds prototypes all day long. Cool job. Is there anything for The Teneres that you can't find anywhere or know a way to make something better? We want to hear about it.

I've already checked out your web page....one thing I was thinking about is a passenger peg lowering kit. I put one on my GS and it made my wife much more comfortable moving them downward about an inch and forward about an inch.

Funny you should ask for that... we have already been exploring this exact thing. We have been speaking with MFW out of Germany. They make a complete system that converts the rider and passenger mounts. When installed the pegs can be adjusted into one of 8-positions. There are 3 easily installed extension arms that adjust the footpeg height. The extension arms come in 23mm, 30mm & 50mm legnths. In the picture below you can see the three components:
  • bike specific mount
  • extension arm
  • footpeg

The customization of their footrest systems is awesome. I will keep you posted on developments for the Super Tenere.

Yeah we love this bike and Really Really want to see it take off. I see you have a 1050 - Check this one out: http://www.twistedthrottle.com/article/articleview/396/1/9/
You guys selling your demo bike came up on the Tiger1050 forum a month or so back when you first put it up for sale. I'm surprised you haven't sold it yet, honestly.

Me too! If I had the extra scratch and space I would grab it myself. I love riding that bike and there is nothing you could possibly need except for 2 more tires and a baby seat.

Kevin,

I want crash bars that actually protect the side panels of the bike. I like the lower set from Yamaha as I want to mount highway pegs. But their upper bars don't look like they would prevent a lot of damage to the plastic.

Hey Kevin.

I hope you are planning on bringing the S-10 stuff to Bloomsburg in July. I think there will be quite a few there !

Oh... we'll be there for that. I don't think we would really planned to bring a Tenere to the BMW national rally... Although I will say that we could always bring product if people wanted installs or just to see an item.

I think you may be surprised at the number of BMW GS owners that are switching, or thinking about adding a Tenere.

I don't doubt that. I am sure BMW is at least a little concerned. The Super Tenere seems to be as much bike as the R1200GS.
