I'm in Cortez tonight, will ride part of the COBDR tomorrow and will see y'all tomorrow night at the KOA

Also in Cortez at the Best Western. Said hi to three Tenere riders at the Super 8 earlier. Mesa Verde tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing all the Tenere's and Teneristas tomorrow evening.

Made it. Better than 650 miles today. Hiding my pains from everyone.

The road from Durango to Ouray is a must for Tarmac Adventure. Just stunning.

The KOA is great and is taking on a Yamaha culture.

Well, we had most of the ducks in a row, but not all of them. Had to cancel the reservation last night. Things stacked up but we thought we'd overcome it all... however my wife's pretty sick so I will stay put and regrettably live this adventure vicariously through (I hope) a bunch of pictures and ride reports. Be safe, watch out for the fires and know how badly I wish I were there this week.

Made it to Gunnison late last night. I should be in Ouray before noon today...yippeee! Had a great ride up pikes peak yesterday and have some good video to share. The best part was they had the track all layed out for this weeks hill climb so the start/finish line and all the haybails were in place. I was able to imagine I was in the race on the way up. Only problem was the 4 wheelers made me keep my speed down
When we came thru Monarch pass yesterday the smoke was really thick with one of the fires. I hope we don't have any problems with the fire going on in South Fork east of Durango. Just watched the news and the town has been evacuated. feel sorry for thise folks and the ones that lost homes near Colorado Springs.

Good luck!

I will be riding up to the Grand Mesa in the morning, and then down to Hotchkiss, Crawford, down 92 to 50, and back to Montrose and the KOA.
I want to get with NittanyXT and find out where the dirt road is that takes you up to the top before we do the paved part.
I want to leave by 9am so anyone wanting to go should track me down and let me know...
