My wife has one of those 500 cc Harleys (XG500). It's really tuned for low and mid-range power with a lot of flywheel. I don't find the throttle twitchy at all, but neither do i find the super 10 throttle twitchy. The 500 is sort of gutless, to be honest. Here's what just occurred to me. Twitchy is a state of mind. Having grown up on 2-stroke dirt bike with little throttle and a relatively narrow power band, one learns throttle control. (not that i am great - now that i am older, i use a G2 throttle with a cam which opens the throttle more slowly than stock from 0 - 25% throttle.)

I could be wrong, but I attribute my insensitivity to "twitchiness" to dirt bikes. All hail dirtbikes!

It's hard to wrangle Tenere guys into taking a special Tenere photo. I've seen a few, but usually most feel it's too much effort, and would rather be hanging out talking to fellow riders than being herded into a pose.

Even that picture show the Teneres to be in the minority. In the last four years I've only seen a total of four in the wild. To be fair. . . . for what ever reason(s). . . . there's just not a lot of bikers around here. H-D is the most often seen, with an assorted sport bike thrown in. I even saw a GS the other day. . . . not on his way to Starbucks. But, one would think, with our riding season. . . . bikes would be everywhere.
I just grabbed the first with a bunch of bikes at Romney but the bikes went out into a field and around the building and seems to me we got a total count of 160-something. The Teneres slightly outnumbered the Stroms, possibly because we pushed it here and on ADV pretty hard, even using the bike on the shirts.

An Irishman and an Englishman are driving head-on at night, on the road between Clonmel and Ardfinnan. Both are driving too fast for the conditions and collide on the sharp bend at the bottom of Knocklofty hill. To the amazement of both, they are unscathed, though their cars are both destroyed. In celebration of their luck, both agree to put aside their dislike for the other from that moment on. At this point, the Irishman goes to the boot and fetches a 12-year-old bottle of whiskey. He hands the bottle to the Englishman, who exclaims, "May the English and the Irish live together forever in peace and harmony.'' The Englishman then tips the bottle and gulps half of the bottle down. Still flabbergasted over the whole thing, he goes to hand the bottle to the Irishman, who replies: ''No thanks, I'll just wait till the Garda get here.

Send it to Star*ucks if youre not in the mood...
Yeah, door dash yourself. Order online, pay online, send your bike, curbside pickup, and it brings it home. If this is a real deal, they need to perfect the self driving car(s) first. 'Cuz, it's the car drivers that don't pay attention; let the cars drive. On the other hand, you could have a few drinks. . . . lay across the saddle. . . . and let your bike take you home.

Yep. For me AI cars have a long way to go. They are reactive in the main, not predictive. Probably better that the majority of drivers, but not the thinking driver. AI would not predict a child ice cream van outcome for instance...

That was cool -
An experienced flat tracker on a track small enough the big bikes weight and engines were a liability.
I'm assuming that he had a superior lean angle, but the tires. . . . I'm surprised they stuck so well, and held up. However he did it. . . . he used a greater percentage of his bike's capabilities than the sport bikes. Proving once again that more doesn't necessarily mean better, if you know how to use what ya' got.

Incredible skills. But he did have the benefit of it being his arena, where optimum tyre pressures would get to optimum temps and all other variables would be dialed to optimum, etc that would give the edge.
