Actually, not true at all. Look at all the dipsticks that take a foot off the peg on supersport racing, imitating Rossi, who admitted long ago that he just started doing it to keep other riders from coming up on him. It's rather bad form and a good way to injure a leg. You don't 'dab' at track speeds, except on dirt. You can see the instability the yellow rider creates for himself multiple times. No doubt he's a good rider on a bike he knows well, but the physics don't work for pushing the bike down, that's a low speed cornering technique, though I see it used in specific Japanese oddity races.
Makes me wonder how fast he'd be if he was probed and beaten until he learned to do it right? Never mind the ridiculous shoulder pads instead of armored gear.
He's playing a character like an '80's US professional wrestler, imho.
