I don't understand why you want the bottom part filled in. My legs are nowhere near the bottom corner of the tank! :-\

Thanks for getting this going... I just sent them an email to ask them if they could change the design! Yeah OK, I'm a wanker :D

I think a bit more coverage couldn't hurt, shouldn't cost much more, and looks better (to me anyway).
Agree. The ones I made for mine (before TechSpec offered theirs) are closer to the size/shape you suggested.

I don't touch the tank at all so I don't fee I need them at all.
There are times when it's good to grip the tank with your knees - often synchronized with sphincter-puckering...

Like MotoWalt I too couldn't get the code to work yesterday. So I sent them an email  There web site also kept changing the state I live in from NC to AL .

About 1 1/2 hours later I got a call from them... telling me that they don't know why there web site would change my state but they are working on it. Then they offered to take my order right there on the phone. So I went ahead and ordered the C3 pads for my Raven Super T. ::010:: Now I see a new design suggestion... hmmm... that does look like it could protect more paint than the old design???? Hmmmm??? Unlike the Ricky Road Racers I don't grip the tank with my knees... well not as much as I probably should as I realize this is a GOOD practice. ::026:: I have been trying to actively watch when I do or when I should grip... I see me doing it when 1) hard on the brakes to save the "Boys" from being squished and 2) when cornering either with one, the outside, knee or both. I went and looked at my other bikes paint on the tanks... SV-650 has kind of scuffed/dull paint on both sides and hell... so does the FJR. Hmmm... I'll have to rethink this... I guess I do it a LOT more than I think.

I think depending on your leg length where on the tank you will scuff the paint... for me with a 30" inseam and the built of the Super T... I do think I will scuff the lower part of the tank... I do wish I could get the newly proposed design as I think it would save my Super T's tank paint more than the design I ordered. Hmmm... I wonder if the ones I ordered will fit my SV-650? ::26::

Whew... did I say all that? I think a little PMS is going on here too.

Just had to say that my three piece kit arrived fine and dandy and are a treat. Very good grip and design. Holding the bike with the knees takes weight off the bars and wrists. Keeps the posture better. Just the ticket. ::008::

Their website kept changing my state from TX to AL for some reason...

I finally ordered a pair of the snakeskins yesterday.

I have a pair on my SV650 and they definitely improve contact and control of the bike both on the street and track.
Kinda hard to explain, but with the Tech Specs I always know exactly where my bike is located between my knees without having to think about it if that makes any sense...

And yes, it goes without saying that I'll take a set with "my" design. I think they'll be great either way, just better my way ::025::

Just a point about the coverage - I used to have an R90/6 with the euro tank, which came with rubber tank panels. I still managed to wear through the paint, right at the rear where the pinstripes are. It's hard for to predict where the wear spots will be on the Super Tenere, so best to cover as much as realistically possible. I'd hate to get the pads and then find wear where the pads are not...

BTW, does anybody else find their knees rubbing against the side panels? Been wondering about putting some protection there too...

Yes.. With the New Design we'll be able to make them out of all three of our Materials.. High Fusion, C3, and Snake Skin..

Looks like we're up to 6 - 7 people who are interested... Almost there!
