On your return trip I recommend going out of Cody WY up the Chief Joseph Hwy and then up and over Bear Tooth Pass or as you'll be North maybe do it the opposite way. I did the CJH both ways and loved it. Alternate 14A was nice from Lovell, WY to Ranchester.
Hi Guy. Yes I missed those on the way out because of shortness of time. I intend to take them in on my way back. BDR was a success and a ton of fun. Currently on ferry to spend a couple days on north Vancouver Island....then the long trek home. Got a ton of 360 video and quite a few stills tooIMG_20230902_122203_010.jpgIMG_20230902_122144_768.jpgbyIMG_20230902_122203_010.jpgIMG_20230902_122144_768.jpg

The weather was nearly perfect. Very little rain, dust. Virtually no smoke in spite of being detoured for a fire apparently
Amazing! Glad for you guys. Mid Sept the weather is going to get much cooler. By end of week here it's supposed to be high only in the mid 80’s. An app I use during travel is morecast. It has a section in the menu for navigation. I use other things for finding twisty roads... but you use it as it will tell you what the weather of a place will be as you pass through.

Glad you all made it. I get home and my daughter decides not to go to Texas... which means I could have been with you guys! Grrrrr
Probably was looking at our current temperatures trends down here in the oven and reconsidered her move. Sorry you missed the trip.

These lovely ladies shocked us one night at the camp ground. The lady in blue said, I ride motorcycles and we saw you pull in. We baked you and your friend and apple pie. As she hands me two plates of of fresh hot apple pie. What the heck ?????

Of course we all start talking, this is her 85 year old mother. During the conversation they ask us if they could please cook us a fresh breakfast because we have been out in the woods to long.

Well, we ended up heading over to the camper in the morning and eggs , bacon, and potato’s were flying………………. I think I got full for the first time in almost two weeks. We also went through almost three pots of coffee between four people.

What an absolute awesome group of folks we tend to run into. Wonderful women right here !!!!!

She has the bacon on the griddle in the photo!!

Made Vancouver Island and hung out with my brother for a couple days. Went south to Mt. St. Helens, then south again to McMinnville, OR to check out Hughes Hercules H4 "Spruce Goose". Currently near Wallace, ID (again). Tomorrow Billings, MT to due the passes I missed on my way out, then visit a Minuteman Missile site in SD, Then a blast to get home...shooting for Monday

Anyone interested in a BDR next year.... people want to get together and do one all together "BDR Rally" ? This year we had only (1) person join us....

Anyone thinking of a BDR to go ride ? I personally would not be apposed to doing the ID again..... it was awesome !

We certainly can start the
conversation !

You almost had two:(
I'm game for next year... or something south this winter. I could even pick some people and bikes up and get them south of the snow line in my truck and trailer if they are somewhat between Northern Illinois and where you guys decide to ride.
