I considered stickering my bikes to show my travels, or show things that I felt expressed my personality. But one sticker looks so lonely. I set it aside, figuring I'd stick it later when I had some others to go with it. And when I finally had a half dozen or so, I couldn't find them all, and I couldn't decide how best to arrange the ones I could find. I set it aside and never got back to it. Since then I have changed bikes a few times and it seems wrong to put stickers for some place onto a bike that hasn't been to that place. So I still haven't done it. But I sure do enjoy seeing the stickered adventure bikes and thinking about all those places. I still might sticker my bike, someday.

I like the Wasp stickers, but they're cosmetic, which means I couldn't bear it if they were even slightly crooked. Fear of getting them not quite perfect would keep me from ever applying them, and they're too expensive to order and have sit on the workbench for years. (Travel stickers and personality stickers are different - if they aren't perfect, that's OK because they're not supposed to look "factory".)

I like clean lines, so not into the stickers. As long as I know where I have been that is all that matters. Not to say I am against stickers, each to his own. I have been to a lot of places by sea, now I have to catch up to you Guys and see more places by land on my one wheel drive Super Machine :)

I don't care who you are, that there's funny. :-*

Walk out to the garage, stand to the clutch side of the bike, lift one foot, KICK THE BIKE..... HARD!

The bike will fall over. Now pick it up and go for a ride. You should now be able to stop worrying about if things are perfect or not. If you still struggle with this issue, go for a longer ride. No, longer than that.

When you get back, consider organizing the garage. Those plastic bins at Home Depot/Lowes, etc. work great. You can have <gasp> a sticker bin! Then when you feel the desire, you can pull the sticker bin out and choose what suits your mood and the bike in question. Or just throw all the stickers away when you get some and stop worrying about it that way.

Yes, it was intended to be funny. Sorry I left out the little dancing icons. I just couldn't stand to put some on and have them not be right. But I can do it, really! Really.....

Hello. I'm Mike and I'm a sticker whore.

I have a BIG sticker folder (I'm liking that bin idea!) from all those aftermarket companies and previous destinations/rallys. Use the aftermarket stuff to decorate the garage.
Destinations placed on the panniers (only) after actually going there. Gives me (another) excuse to re-ride some great areas! ::001::
Sometimes I find something whimsical that speaks to (and of) me and I'll slap that on.
Usually takes many years and tens of thousands of miles to get it "right".

Perfect technique! Lost a few points on the picking it up part though. Good starting position, just needed to straiten that back and lift with the legs. ::008::

If you watch the Wasp video and do it by the book it's easy. You can move them around until you start the squeegee (sp)
Can't tell, but it also has all the 3M clear coating kit too.

Sorry, best photo I had at work.

Put one on my helmet today, and it came with two larger ones. I may have my first sticker for my bags.

I love my Tenere and how it has so few stickers from the factory however I do add reflective stickers for sure and some from vendors I really respect. 99% are on the panneries I noticed. Scotts Steering for their dampers gets a place. AltRider got a small one for the "tip-over" bars which I seem to use a fair amount. Twisted Throttle because they really light up at night. AeroStich got a place because I just love the onepiece suit so much for the ease of putting the suit on-!! Shoei is already on my helmet but I did put a small one on one pannier, same with Sidi for great hot weather boots. They really do the reflective thing at night-!!!!!! Other than all of those I really don't put many on except for the magnet that say's "motorsports can be dangerous to your health" The best reflective stickers and the toughest are from Streetglo.net. I use their reflective tape as well. Its not inexpensive but it is a quality product well worth the money imo.

I add the product stickers to the inside of the right side panel. I will install some travel sticker to the hard luggage. Looking for invisible reflective stickers for safety.

I guess it depends on your preference for "invisible" in daylight. 3M Scotchlite tape comes in a variety of colors and widths, as well as sheets. http://www.shop3m.com/3m-scotchlite-reflective-film-series-680-gsw72zwpzh.html Matte in daylight, brilliant white reflective at night. You can also get it in 1-4" wide rolls of 50', but the price goes up fast. Google 3M reflective tape in the color you desire and several options will come up. I don't think it's possible to have truly invisible stickers that are reflective, due to the necessary reflective ingredients. Default is white/silver.

My wife says sticker up the panniers of all the places you have ridden to and keep a journal. That way 50 years from now when I am about to die our grand kids will be able to see the stickers and the stores that were created about them. She says advertising stickers are stupid and poseur. The stickers have to mean something, and I agree.

Generally agree except for this fourms'stickers, the ADV forum and Tabasco's because as art it is really cool and just plain appeals to me.
