I have a ride in service for a Day Long in a week. Still planning route home. Any suggestions for color insert, pattern, or material? I mostly ride wearing a 'stich one piece. Thinking light grey squares or rectangles in leather but really have no idea.

Thanks for any experiences!

I'm jealous, had one on my KLR, best seat ever(it will spoil you) please share your experience. Will probably have to ship mine in seeing how it's a 3000 mile trip, hmmm that's only 3 iron butts ::025:: ::025::

Yes, we're going to need a full report when you get back home, the whole before and after thing. ::007:: ::008::

Have a RDL on my ST1300 and my second Rick Mayer on my KLR. I have tried the Bill Mayer as well. All good seats that make a huge improvement. It's matter of personal preference but my favorite is the Rick Mayer (softer) which is what I intend to do down the road. We would all like to see pictures. Who knows I might do another RDL. In the mean time I'll let my credit card breath a little and settle with the Airhawk which for the money works well.

mine has been sent in already. I just can't take the crappy seat on this bike. I opted for the rectangles in vinyl, solo only, since that is how I ride 98% of the time. I have owned many Russell seats and that is really all I want to own after trying so many other brands being disappointed. I'll post when I get mine back in a couple of weeks.

I think everyone will want to know how many miles you manage to cover with the temporary "seat". :D
Yeah, and if you manage a 2-up ride with that too ::013::

several hundred by default per week, but limited "planned" day trip rides per say. This hodge podge set up is as good or better than what comes with the bike to me.

Return route offering: There is a part that is NF dirt. Enterprise to Clarkston and Lewiston to Missoula were rated in the top 15 rides by AMA riders. Camping looked good near Enterprise and at McCall. You won't regret Hwy 3, Scott Valley, Scott River Rd, and 96. 93 has to be a good road. I am looking forward to all or part of this route this year.

I'm very disappointed that you would use "blue" foam :))

Work Wednesday then ride to Ontario, OR. Thursday across OR then 395 down to Shasta. Heading back I have 2 days (maybe 3) so thinking taking 50 across nevada then up Utah to home. Alternate will be up through OR, to Hells canyon then across either 12 or Magruder then down to home. Probably 3 days that way.

Yes there will be picks.
