Go ahead and just keep poking. It only makes you look silly. :
The spelling of your user name just isn't that important to me. Go figure. Yep, I misspelled it, no doubt multiple times, yet
amazingly, you still figured out that I was referencing you. So it matters how?
I never said you didn't race, or that your user name didn't have significance to you. I only said it didn't have significance to me and I didn't enjoy watching others do things, like racing/sports.
As I said above, I disagree with your opinions on shocks. We can beat this dead horse all day, we still won't agree on many things.
I spent the last 20 years working as a machinist in the hydraulic tools industry. I know a few things about oems and fluid dynamics. And how and why things are made the way they are.
Your racing background is exactly why we have these disagreements. You have forgotten that what's important on the track or for competition doesn't always equal something of importance on the street. Most of what works on the track doesn't apply on the street. Or does, but to such a lesser degree that it's overkill for all but a few.
The OP wanted to improve "ride quality". I'm not psychic, I don't know what it is that he wants to improve. Ride quality means different things to different people. I also don't know what he expected he might be able to achieve for a few hundred dollars on the stock shock, but perhaps he had some direction to what he was looking to gain? It's hard to help the guy when we don't know just what it is that needs improvement, for him.
Good suspension is a wonderful thing. I've always maintained that. But the large majority of riders won't spend the big bucks for it, regardless of how highly it is spoken of. That's not a revelation, you know it's true. I just don't see how constantly telling people to spend the money when they are looking for some improvements is helpful.
@SB - You're right, same tired old theme.
::010:: I know what good suspension is like. I've had it. But I can't justify the coin for the Super Ten. It's a splurge for my budget, not something I actually need. Not having it doesn't seem to prevent me from riding, does it? :-*
