So guys....following my semi rant.....what d'ya think?? Shall we finally just stop talking about it and go for it? We're never gonna find something that suits everyone. At least this may be a starting point. There seemed quite a few interested in it before.
SO...
JUNE 7th at Doms place. Meet for brunch at 11:30 or stop iver the night before for those that dont work Saturdays.
I cant work out how to do a link to Doms place sorry but maybe someone else can post one.
Heres hoping this might be appealing!! P.S. Never been before but Im happy to contact Dom and warn him if there is enough interest
Will this do?

Yeah I'm cool with Dom's.., but did think it would be a little sooner than June? Still, I guess it would allow the possibility of more Ten's turning up n the weather maybe being a little more assured... Leaving it till later maybe it could be known as the first national meet? Will go with the majority flow tho... Still up for something earlier too maybe back up the north Midlands or somert... Oooooo the decisions? ::)

There are also various Bike Nights through the Spring / Summer that people could meet up at: -

Tuesday Night at Bassett's Pole near Sutton Coldfield
Tuesday Night at Montford Bridge Cafe near Shrewsbury
Wednesday Night - Costwold Bikers Nites at various pubs around Gloucester, Cheltenham, Evesham, Worcester
Thursday Night at Lynns Raven Cafe at Whitchurch, Shropshire

Will be trying to sort out a flash / dyno day at CJS near Bath late April.

Noticed a pub just up the road with a large car park, will check it out when I go for my remap next month, could be handy for a local meet on the same day.

Totally agree Bob......June 7th !! W T F? When I put the post up suggesting a get together I was hoping it would take place in this life time. Tb be hones I cant be arsed to sift back through the drivel about mush book but if the reasons someone suggested June 7th is beacause Doms place cant fir us in for the weekend until then, well may I suggest it the wrong place to kick off a get together?? maybe a 2nd or 3rd yes quite possibly.

So for the local guys OR whoever want to turn up may I suggest the first meet up is CMC Clay Cross Friday April 3rd aka Good Friday, its bank holiday so most people will have a chance.

So..anybody still interested in a get together before the middle of the year?

attached is a post I have cut and pasted from the Carpe TDM website.

right chaps, I've been on the phone to Dom this morning.

The cost for camping is £10 pppn, this includes toilet facilities, showers, phone charging points and firewood for the open fires (although there will be a charge of £4 per bag of extra firewood, but this would only be required if the fire was likely to run after midnight)

Day visitors to the site would be asked to leave before 10.00pm, this however will not apply to members of our group who are B+B'ing.

There will be hot drinks, cooked food etc up until 9.30pm, the bar will be open until 11.00pm.

Breakfast will be available from 7.30am.

I would like to suggest that we all that we take advantage of the on-site food and drink.

On the Saturday night the site will be being used as a checkpoint on the National Road Rally ( http://www.nationalr.../2015/index.php), which should be interesting.

Dom has asked if it would be possible for me to send a deposit. Given that everyone will be paying for themselves I am struggling to think of the best way to achieve this, any ideas ? I don't think not sending a deposit would be a deal breaker, but I appreciate Dom's dilemma in that if he gets a load of gear in then folk don't turn up because of bad weather it would leave him out of pocket.

I will be speaking to him again in a couple of weeks, let me know if there is anything else you need clarifying.

Dave

I am currently organising a get together for the TDM lads for the first weekend in July. Hopefully the info I have posted will be of use here. Unfortunately I cannot attend on the proposed June date as I will have just returned from the IOM TT.
I'l try and get to any CMC meet up though.

I guess the S10 meet could be changed to July with the TDM boys, they are both Yamaha twins after all. And I've got a cracking ride-out sorted for the Saturday.

Dom has announced he is going to open on Saturday this weekend (21st Feb 2015) from 9am to 4pm. He won't be open on Sunday due to the promise of stormy weather.

I might ride over there for a coffee around midday as it is only an hour away.

Anyone else going to join me?

This might be the last ride of any distance on the Super Ténéré before I take delivery of a new MT09 Tracer/FJ09.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/DomsBikeStop/?fref=nf - Dom's is located just off the Leominster bypass where the A44 crosses the A49 (take the Worcester road from the roundabout and look for the sign on the right after 200m) http://goo.gl/maps/acdMJ
