Don't forget the Transalp from that same time period.
Honda also had the GB500TT and the GT650 Hawk around that time as well. Good pickings for sure!
London was full of them. Dispatch Rider favourite.yes,
seen loads over here in the UK, it was a big seller back in the day

I remember all those funky early ADVish bikes LOL those days I wouldn't touch one..... In the 90s (& till present) I was all about the latest, hotness with crotchrockets (they still hold a softspot as I still own a BKing and ZH2).View attachment 98359

huh i thought they were the same motor. ya learn somethin everyday. had an xr650r 20 years ago, woulda prefered a dommie but couldnt find a nice oneI have the NX650 motor in my XR650L .. much better transmission ratio for offroading.
I wish i could have used the NX chassis, i like it far better than the XR, but well too many parts wouldnt line up.
We ( UK ) got lots of imports that were not here officially. I think the Hawk 650 was known as the " Bros " here. Nice bike.I remember all those funky early ADVish bikes LOL those days I wouldn't touch one..... Yummmm... The Hawk GT 650, CB1 400, Bandit 400, FZR 400, not necessarily a small bore kinda guy but such cool rippers from the 90s! Loved (still do) to have one for the super tight stuff I frequently rip or trackday ripper.
Same in almost every way. but ratio between 1st and 2nd in the NX is much closer making the motor WAY better for the trails.huh i thought they were the same motor. ya learn somethin everyday. had an xr650r 20 years ago, woulda prefered a dommie but couldnt find a nice one
